Coffee or Tea?

Which do you prefer -- Coffee, Tea, or "Other" to get you going in the morning!? Why?

Diet Dr. Pepper. We never had coffee because my mother drinks hot tea and my Dad didn't drink coffee or tea so I just never developed a taste for either hot, though I do like ice tea. So I get my caffeine from Diet Dr. Pepper.

I have two cups of coffee before I leave the house, and a cup of tea when I get to work. The tea is a bonus; it's the coffee I NEED.

I love love love my coffee. Iced, hot it's all good.

I hate tea. I want to love it. I really do but I think I've tried it all ways and still don't like it. My family drinks tea too but I never got into it.

Coffee!!! At least in the morning. I love to have a really strong espresso to start my day. In the afternoon and evening I do really enjoy a nice cup of tea.

I agree about the Diet Dr Pepper. I prefer Cherry Diet Dr Pepper though. I have never acquired a taste for coffee. I need to learn though, because I could certainly use a little kick in the mornings.

I have never even tasted hot tea to be honest. I wouldn't know what to buy or anything. lol The characters in the books I am reading love hot tea. They drink it all the time and it does make me want to try some.

I have taken heart in the various news reports now touting all the benefits of drinking coffee!

Fortunately for my budget, I'm satisfied with fresh brewed black coffee at home.

Angie, I do though enjoy sipping a hot cup of tea on occasion. I simply use a single tea bag placed in a mug and pour piping hot water over it to steep for a few minutes. I'm certain that there are all sorts of wonderful specialty teas available but since I don't have it often, I use the same kind that I use for brewing iced tea. It is nice to curl up with a good book! Smile

For me it's tea. Just a cup of Twinings orange pekoe with milk is all I need in the morning. If we're camping though it's coffee with a splash of Baileys. Yum. Smile We got this funky new coffee machine at work that brews just about anything you can think of, and I've tried that fancy stuff, but I prefer plain old Colombian with cream and sugar.

I also love a small Tim Hortons Iced Capp on occasion (like, maybe 3 times a summer).

Most mornings I have a glass or two of ice water before heading out the door. Just refreshes me and feels good I guess. But on those mornings that I can't seem to pick up the pace a big glass of Coke really helps.

Iced tea, I make it by the gallon at home, the decaf Irish Breakfast from Trader Joe's. I'll drink regular iced tea from the cafeteria at work or a fast food place, no lemon or sweetener, just plain. I can't stand coffee, and I don't like hot tea; it makes my teeth feel weird. DH loves hot tea, we have a whole cabinet of various loose-leaf teas and tea-brewing cups.

The best gift I got last xmas was a beautiful David's Tea mug with built-in infuser and lid. It's bigger than an average tea cup, which I dig. Saves me from making a second cup.

That's so funny. I love hot coffee and I love hot tea and I despise the iced versions of both. To me, iced tea just tastes like cold tea...yech.

Even in the summer, it's all about the hot. I'm drinking hot coffee right now before going to work and it's already 81 degrees (at 8:00 a.m.).
