Default Did you hear that there is a wedding

    This week?

Can't believe that there is no royal wedding debate yet!

Beautiful love story? Cinderella-esque? Will you be up at 4 am wearing a hat and dripping tears into your tea and crumpets as you sigh happily over the pomp and circumstance and saying things like "true love conquers"?

Or do you think that it reeks of materialism and waste, that the coverage is insane, that they will be divorced in 10 years or elsewise ruined by the press/attention so you are feeling morally superior as you steadfastly ignore all things ROYAL this week?

It brings back memories for me. I remember watching Diana's at my grandmas's house. Diana was a very graceful person and would be proud of the men her sons have become.

    I'll dvr it.

I've got it set to record, too. I feel slightly less sheepish since I'm Canadian and part of the British Commonwealth. Plus my brother lives in London, so maybe I'll see him in the crowds?

I admit to being very excited to see her dress.

Sad for her though...Harry is the hotter prince. Will just looks like his dad.

I think it might be interesting to see some of the highlights after the fact. I think it is fun but not really my thing in general. It is way too over the top but it doesn't bother me that much.

I don't really make any judgments on them as a couple either because I don't think that the media's depiction of them is necessarily accurate. This is true for any celebrity, I am more apathetic than most people I know.

I love weddings. I love obnoxious hats. What more could I want?

Unfortunately I will be at a soccer game that time. But BBC is my only news channel so I'm sure when I get home I will be able to see it over and over again.

I love weddings. I also have fond memories of watching Diana's wedding, when I was a little girl who loved big, poofy dresses and princesses. I think it's a bit of a novelty because that's not how we do it and it's... well... royalty! We don't have that in the U.S. I'll DVR it so I can admire the dress and the carriage and the hats. I have high hopes for them because they took their time; eight years is pretty significant for kids who have traveled and had to keep things fairly quiet.

Jorgie, what you said about the hotter prince is so funny because I'm the exact opposite. I think Will looks exactly like his mama and is way cuter.

I agree with Jordan - Harry is the cuter prince.

As for the wedding, I honestly don't really care. I might google it at some later date to see a picture of the dress. I really don't have an opinion on the couple or the wedding because I don't know much about it or them. But now that you mention it, I might take the opportunity to feel morally superior for my indifference. I do love to feel morally superior.
