Also, I'm intrigued by this idea that benefits like health insurance should be based on a popularity contest. My coworkers and I totally disapprove of another coworker's wife. She is cray-cray, and frankly not very nice. Can we vote to kick her out of our insurance pool so we won't be "financially supporting" their marriage?
When you refer to Bonitas world do you mean this new union where incest and brother/brother marriage is legal? You would still be "paying for gay marriage" (if that is how you view healthcare pools, which I believe is completely incorrect and has nothing at all to do with taxes) in this untenable fairy world....but now you would also be supporting incest and sibling marriage as well. And that is really what you want?
BUT....this fairy world definitely includes MORE financial support if we can suddenly put anyone on our insurance. Suddenly you're supporting my sister or my random best friend. This is better?
So much effort to keep marriage from gay people....
If a father can marry his daughter (and sex is legal within the confines of marriage), I don't know how incest stays OUT of this arrangement? Honestly, do you? If we are playing fairy world we have to be honest in pointing out the flaws in fairy world too. This would be a big flaw, as I see it. Of course I don't think that she WANTS incest to happen, but its a valid point about another reason this "plan" simply doesnt fly.
