Default Executive privilege for Fast and Furious

Obama has just given executive privilege to the documents requested by Congress for Fast and Furious.

Do you agree with Obama's decision?
Does it make Holder look more guilty because they are withholding these documents?
Do you think this is kind of like Watergate where the attempt to cover it up is worse than the original scandal?
Do you think Holder should be held in contempt for refusing to provide the documents requested by Congress?

I believe this is a scandal that goes way up on the executive totem pole, now everyone in the DOJ is in CYA mode. I hope that they can figure out a way to force the documents. I also hope that this exposes our current DOJ for a lot of the things they have done wrong or illegally.
I do believe that the cover up is bigger then the scandal, but I also wonder how much worse the scandal is based on how they DOJ and Obama are reacting to it

I wonder what happened to this?

Memorandum for the Heads of Executive Departments and Agencies
    SUBJECT: Transparency and Open Government

My Administration is committed to creating an unprecedented level of openness in Government. We will work together to ensure the public trust and establish a system of transparency, public participation, and collaboration. Openness will strengthen our democracy and promote efficiency and effectiveness in Government.

Government should be transparent. Transparency promotes accountability and provides information for citizens about what their Government is doing. Information maintained by the Federal Government is a national asset. My Administration will take appropriate action, consistent with law and policy, to disclose information rapidly in forms that the public can readily find and use. Executive departments and agencies should harness new technologies to put information about their operations and decisions online and readily available to the public. Executive departments and agencies should also solicit public feedback to identify information of greatest use to the public.

    Or this?

There was a time when Obama was not a fan of the President invoking executive privilege for political reasons. The GOP shares a clip of then-Senator Obama in 2007 criticizing Bush for invoking executive privilege on CNN?s Larry King Live.

?There?s been a tendency on the part this administration to try to hide behind executive privilege every time there?s something a little shaky that?s taking place,? Obama said, referring to the Bush administration. ?And I think that the administration would be better served by coming clean on this.?
