But if you believe that a child is a child from conception, as I do, then killing the child is wrong no matter the reason. No reason is better than the other, it is no more that child's fault that they are a result of rape than it is a child's fault that the mother wanted a boy instead of a girl. The mother's feelings are not a valid reason to kill an innocent child. A life is a life, and unless the woman's own life is in danger I will never agree that a woman's feelings or discomfort is a good enough reason for a baby to die. That child is the same to me as a child that has been born and taken a breath. They deserve the same protection.

I know many on here disagree and do not understand this POV, but I agree. In my opinion, you either think abortion is wrong or you don't. There is no reason you would be ok with someone killing their 5yo. It is tragic what the mother has gone through, but killing an innocent child will not make that better. It is an unfortunate consequence of rape.
