    Default Fluff: best summer treat

Watermelon? Ice cream? Otter Pops? Homemade popsicles made from lemonade? What is *the* best summer treat?

I found this yummy coconut ice recipe - kinda like ice cream but no dairy. So good.

I hate watermelon. It is the fruit I detest the most. The smell of watermelon gum makes me gag. Same with honeydew. I can only do canteloupe.

I used to love Blizzards. And just plain old soft serve cones.

I am partial to a nice peach Bellini or sangria myself. Yuuuummmm.

My favorite used to be homemade popsicles from lemonade, but with a husband & kids who are all allergic to melon, but who will eat it anyway & then ***** about their throats being itchy & tight, I take a nice cold juicy watermelon whenever I can get it without them!

And I'd love to try coconut ice. I've never been a fan of coconut but had some coconut-based non-dairy yogurt last week that was heavenly.

Lisa I'm serving coconut sorbet tonight for dessert! you know, because hosting a dinner party the wednesday night before a huge party (when your husband is out of town no less) is brilliant planning! That is one of my all time favorites.

My summer favorite would have to be fresh blackberries or raspberries right off the vine, still all warm from the sun. Our neighbor has huge patches and he lets the kids pick them at will so we eat them nightly. That or grilled peaches with booze on top over ice cream. Mmmm.

Mmmmm...I love watermelon! Grilled fruit is awesome, too.

We have a local dairy here that makes the best ice cream, so it's a nice treat for the boys and I to grab on a warm summer night. Hmm...might need to go there tonight .

On the drink side - I discovered Leinie's Summer Shandy after a 5K last week. I'm looking forward to enjoying that on the deck this summer.

    Del's Lemonade.

Del's Lemonade and Refreshments - Headquartered in Cranston, Rhode Island, Del's specializes in frozen lemonade and other refreshing products.

Only the lemonade...not that other crazy stuff. Pieces of lemon..frozen lemonade...it's the best!

I love ice cream too but that's year round for me. Our local Dairy Queen doesn't close down anymore for the full winter only 1 month so my cravings aren't as insane by summer!

I know! I've told them to take a swig of Benadryl first but nope, no one ever listens to me.

Did you make the coconut sorbet or buy? I love coconut in all forms... I slather 100% pure coconut oil on myself every morning, lol.
