A girl I went to high school with, she posted on facebook and the news did as well, her aunt won $2 million. I'm just sorry they went public with it because my high school was not in the best of areas and that's where her aunt lives. Anyway, I'm very happy for them!
I would get my MA in Library Science. Plus I'd make generous education funds for my kids and nieces and nephews and friends' kids.

Good point in your definition of indulgence. I can understand that. There are things that I'd love to do for our family that are truly important to me, but I can't due to financial limitations. One of my cousins that lives in Denver, CO won like $15 million about 10 years ago. They bought a limo service and a new house, and she gave the house she was living in to her sister. The house she bought ended up having huge foundation problems and they pretty much lost all the money they put into it and ended up in a huge lawsuit with the builder. It was eventually condemned and she took her old house back from her sister. I really don't know where all the money went, I guess they still have the business but they don't seem to be really well off or anything.
I don't know if you would call this an "indulgence" but it is the one thing I truly truly want right now.
If I came into a bunch of money, I would buy what I want to be my "forever house." Or at least my "until I'm too decrepit to climb stairs or take care of myself" house. :)
My dream house is nothing major - I don't want or need a palace (gah! Can you imagine having to clean a mansion after work? Thanks but no thanks! :lol:) I want a roomy 4 bedroom house (master bedroom, each kid has a bedroom, and then an exta that would combo as an office and a guest bedroom) with a finished basement that I can turn into a play area with the kids. Close to downtown Littleton because I love love love downtown Littleton, which would also be close to DH's school, and in the school district we want. Um....an actual dining room, as well as a nice roomy eat in kitchen....and a big linen closet (ours is tiny, such a PITA!!!) Nice fenced in back yard, with mature trees and landscaping.
That's it. That would be the very first thing I bought, and trust me when I say that no "indulgence" would make me happier.
