I bought a good quality hand mixer several years ago, and then for my wedding I got a KitchenAid. We always had a KitchenAid growing up, so I was dying to have one, but I find I still use my hand mixer a lot more often. It just seems easier to get out, I can use it in any bowl, it's easier to clean, etc. I really only use the KitchenAid for things that have to mix for a long time and I don't want to be standing there holding the blender for all that time. I do bake a lot, but I could totally do without the KitchenAid. I LOVE my hand mixer. I think after 8-10 years, it's almost time for a new one

I love my KA. We have a big ol' commercial stainless steel one. And I love it. And use it all.of.the.time.

I'm certain that I have the best KA story, though.

When I was 4 ,my mom had a big KA. She was baking a cake for my father's birthday. I was "helping". I leaned over the mixer with my lovely long 4 year old hair and WOOOSH!It ripped out all of the hair on the left side of my head. Like a giant pluck, I was bald. My poor preschool teacher thought I had cancer and I had the world's worst comb over/short haircut until kindy! I should find a picture bc it was hideous. Hideous. The power of a Kitchen Aid!
