Fluff - Netflix (Not really a debate)

So I just finished watching all of the seasons of Bones on Netflix. I need something else to watch while DH works his part time job at night. Any ideas? Other shows I like are NCIS, NCIS LA, Blue Bloods, All of the Stargates, All of the Startreks, and Jag. Any good ideas?

You're a Star Trek fan? Woot woot! High five! Hooray!

I've been making my way through 24 again, but that may be a little too gritty. I don't watch NCIS so I'm not sure.

I seem to remember from somewhere on here that there are several that watch Startrek. I will admit that after watching Stargate, that Startrek seems a little dated to me. I did recently re-watch all of the Startrek DS9 episodes. Toying with the idea of Westwing.

That literally made me laugh out loud. The think I like most about the Startrek/Stargate shows was that it was something that DH and I could watch together. He would watch for the SiFi and I would watch for the relationships/characters. We have not been able to find something else that we can both like. He has been watching the X-files recently, but I can't stand it.

How about Lost?

I did try watching Lost when it was on. I had a hard time figuring out what was going on. There was a lot of going back and forth from past to present. I know, I know, I am difficult to please Smile When I am watching TV I like to not have to think too hard. (That sounds terrible written out)

Is NCIS on there? I tried to find it but couldn't.

I've been watching Adam 12. It's interesting to see how much things have changed and how much has stayed the same in 40+ years. Also, Kent McCord is pretty easy on the eyes. (Well, not anymore, but that's what 40+ years will do to a guy.)

Next it will be Dragnet for me.

I do not believe NICS is on Netflix, but I watch it on CBS on Tuesday nights.

I have seen a few episodes of Adam 12, but not in a long time. I will have to check that out.

We love Castle and Criminal Minds, both have great relationships in them. Criminal minds is a little dark

I love those ones too. Plus most of the already mentioned. Never heard of Adam 12 though, need to check it out. Just a warning, I cant watch criminal minds when dd is working nights cause it makes me think people are out to get me Smile I save it for the afternoon when the kids are napping.

I also like Body of Proof, Leverage, and White Collar. Have you tried any of the CSI`s. I personally like NY best.

I love Criminal Minds, but it is definitely dark (to say the least). But the characters (the good guys) are what makes the show great. Same for Law & Order SVU as long as Chris Meloni is still there. How about House? That show was fantastic.

Criminal Minds also makes me think people are out to get me!

The Wire is the best series ever made in my opinion. I've watched it many times and still catch new things. I just watched Homeland and found it riveting. We watch Game of Thrones- I just finished the books as well and they are excellent. I love Curb your Enthusiasm. Sex and the city and The Sopranos were great. I want to watch downton abbey but have not yet. We just started watching the Borgias.

I like Homeland too. That's one of the few shows Dave & I watch together.

I'm also enchanted by Downton Abbey but in my world that's not very husband-friendly.

My network's new show Bates Motel premieres tomorrow night (Monday). Normally I don't push the stuff we produce, but this show is really great. Well worth watching.

We watch so much less TV than we used to. I watch The Good Wife, which I love and is the only show left that I am sure to catch weekly.

Other than that we haven't been watching any show ritually. We watched Sons of Anarchy through Amazon Prime and were hooked but need to wait until season 5 comes out on DVD. I can't wait!

All the other shows I would consider watching (like i would consider watching games of thrones) cost money on Amazon Prime. It sucks.

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to need to go through and check out all of the suggestions.

Oh, I forgot CSI NY off my list. I enjoy that as well. I used to watch Criminal Minds, but it has gotten to be too much IMO. I did enjoy the characters when I did watch it.

Can I just randomly say how bummed I am that there won't be any more of that Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon? Nathaniel watches it and I started watching it with him way back when because I was worried about the content -- seemed very dark -- and I got hooked and it became a fun thing we did together every week, just the two of us. And now it's over! That last episode actually choked me up a little.

I know. Random.

I am a child of television for sure.

Criminal Minds has really fantastic characters but sometimes I have to fast forward through the criminal bits.....just too much for me.

How pathetic is it that I don't watch a single series? The only thing we manage is recorded American Idol and Shark Tank and Dragons' Den. I like The Voice too. It's nice being able to watch a one hour show in 20 minutes and make it into bed on time. Yeah, that's pretty pathetic. Sorry I'm no help Bonita.

It's okay Lisa, I haven't watched a single show on network TV in probably 20 years? I've never even seen a reality show. Or an episode of star trek/star whatever. SOrry Laurie.

I used to watch Numbers while it was on. I believe I have watched them all already. I did like the show though.

I'm not sure we can be friends anymore. I'm not much of a reality fan (unless you count the Food Network) but don't be dissing television. I LOVE TELEVISION. (It also pays my bills.)

If you can get past the gore the story line on The Walking Dead is great. It is really more about humanity and how people treat each other than it is about zombies. Also Jericho is a pretty good series too.

I rarely stick to a series for very long. I enjoy movies but I don't watch them often either.

Bonita you might like Once Upon a Time too. It is kind of interesting how they put a twist on all the old storybook tales.

Totally agree about the Wire and Game of Thrones (both the show and the books.)

I also love True Blood.

ETA: Gloria, agree about the Walking Dead. That is another good one. DH has read some of the graphic novels and says that the title "the walking dead" actually refers to the human survivors because of the way they have to keep kind of compromising their humanity to survive. I thought that was an interesting take.
