I dont think the words are insulting, it could actually be very complimentary to some people. I think this interviewer was being a little rude

I think being full-figured is gorgeous.

At first I thought she was just way over-reacting to the term full figured. She does have fuller figure and she is stunning. But, there was a comment somewhere about "full figured" just being a nicer way to say "fat", which is kind of true.

I've been trying to think about how I would feel if someone publicly called me "full figured". I mean, I am, but, having people publicly acknowledge what, to me, is a long standing weight/confidence issue, would be hard. But, again does that say more about me or the person asking the question?

I think it would depend on the tone of the person asking.

Why did they have to comment on her figure? Couldn't they have just asked what her most inspiring story is?

I think she way overreacted. The woman was telling her why some people found her to be inspiring. If she hadn't said full-figured, the actress may have gone with a different reason that she believed to be inspiring. I think she's stupid for it, but allowed to be offended.

At first I thought she was over reacting. She does have a very 'full' figure. Not fat, but definitely some sexy curves.

Then I watched the clip, and the interviewer rolls her eyes the first time she says 'full figured'. It is very rude and implies something different when said that way.

I don't get it. I didn't see the interviewer rolling her eyes, she didn't seem to understand what the issue was. She probably read a ton of articles describing her that way and felt it was appropriate. I also don't think full-figured means fat, it means voluptuous.

I didn't find the interviewer to be rude at all. It was a legit question and Christina is obviously over-sensitive about her weight. I think "full figured" is a very accurate weight to describe her body type. She certainly isn't "fat."
