Hello! Long time no post! I haven't had a moment to post here in a while, although I have lurked a bit, as I have been frantically trying to do 10 things at once at home and work all the time! Gotta love June. Anyways, I wanted to give you all and update.
We saw Rob's oncologist on monday and he has made awesome progress. They did xrays and the leg is healing well. The tumor is 100% gone and most likely not to return. He is allowed to put weight on it and start trying to walk. He is able to lift it about an inch off the ground, which he wasn't ever suppose to be able to do again! And he is walking with a normal gait, which was also not expected. So he is actually recovering much better than we thought he would. He will always need a cane, but we were told not to worry about a scooter or a wheelchair as he won't need them much longer. So yay! Of course now that we have good news I am realizing how tired I am from all of this. Thank goodness next week is vacation week so I can flee to Edmonton to spend a week with family (who will want to entertain and take care of Kaiya for me- yay!)
I hope everyone is doing well here.
Lisa - so sorry to hear about the fibromyalgia. That is rough! I hope that you can find some effective treatments.
Anyways, back to the 10 things waiting for me at work! lol. Take care all.
Fuchsia, that is awesome news!!!
Fuchsia glad to hear from you and even happier it's with good news!
Well the disasters just keep on coming here. There's a freight train derailed on a bridge in Calgary, and the bridge buckled and has partially collapsed with 6 cars mostly loaded with difluent precariously holding on. If they fall the train cars and difluent will go straight into the Bow River - one of the rivers that flooded last week. That's great. Flammable and toxic, all potentially ending up in the water supply for millions of people. This just keeps getting better and better. Somebody wake me up when this is all over, please. All we need now is a tornado.
That is terrible! Really, Alberta doesn't need anything more right now.
Yikes Lisa! I hope things get better there soon!
Oh, I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday!!! I'll have Monday off, then work Tues-Wed and off for the rest of the week for the 4th. We'll have a parade on the 4th - my dad has his fire truck in a local parade every year. This year tons of people from my husband's family are riding on it, so I think I'm just going to watch it this time. Then, depending on the weather, my dad will park the truck down by the river that goes through our downtown and we'll watch the fireworks show the park district puts on.
Oh that's horrible news :(.
