Thank you. This has been one of the most surreal days of my life. Jenn was 36 years old (I had been thinking 35, but she was 36). I just can not believe this actually happened.
Bonita, that is so sad! :bigarmhug:
Gloria, thank you for updating for us.
At this point I am home and Rob is in Vancouver. He is doing much better and was able to sit up today. That was a serious no go yesterday. They did get all of the cancer. whew! We are now not sure about the chemo as this kind of tumour doesn't always respond to it. So this might be it for treatment. We will find out tomorrow. He will still be in hospital for at least another 3-5 days. They need to get his pain stable and him able to stand first. They are weaning him off the epidural tomorrow. So it is progress
thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. The support around here is wonderful. Especially given that we all met by arguing!
Fuchsia that is wonderful news ~ so happy for him (and you!) Bonita I am sorry about your friend. Have they figured out what happened yet?
I just woke up from a 4 hour nap. This weekend was just way too much. Friday night we had a formal dinner dance for my husbands school ~ I slept over so had to race home by 8am for my sons t ball game, head to a baby shower from 12-3 and then get everybody in costume and off to the party i've been planning for months for my Mom ~ A hoe down :) It was so much fun but I have to admit I'm so glad its over ~ planning a big party is stressful to me! I was just happy that she loved it.
The great news is that my husband is finally and fully done with his eMBA program! After 21 months of insanity, we can be a family once again. We lived through it!
I feel so gutted. This is the closest I have been to someone who has died, and it has been very difficult. (I have lost my grandparents, but it was different)
Fuschia, so glad your hubbys surgery was successful. Hope his recovery continues on with no problems
Bonita, I am so sorry. My little brother lost his childhood best friend last year to murder, my brother is still reeling from it.
Melis, Yay for your DH! My Dh did a masters program online for one of his masters and there were times that I was not sure how we would get through it. I was pretty proud of him though when he finished.
