Fortunately they didn't judge me for it and in fact gave me a free The Office umbrella when I left. If nothing else, at least I have the umbrella.

Still waiting to hear about the other gig that I really REALLY want...they are trying to set up my next interview there.

It's been a crazy busy week, I feel like I'm constantly juggling about 7 different things. Hoping next week will be calmer. Plus, I'm going to see the Star Trek movie on Wednesday, I've been waiting MONTHS for that.
Good luck! I can't WAIT to see the star trek movie. Which reminds me, i'm supposed to be lining up a babysitter for that.

I have a friend that I go with so our spouses don't have to deal with it. Funny! His wife and my husband should find out if there's a movie THEY like. I've had my tickets for over a month, bought them through the Star Trek app. Can't wait.

Next interview for the other job is now next week, which is great. I'm burnt out!

I only saw the trailer for the Star Trek movie just the other day. It looks good. I like the Star Trek movies and I loved the series with Picard and for the life of me I can't remember which one that was. Duh. There was Voyager, DS9....oh ya!!!! Next Generation I was never a big fan of the original series. Except now I think William Shatner is hilarious. He knows how to have a laugh at himself.

This made me laugh. I did not like the original series either.

We probably balance each other out nicely

When i was younger, i used to be able to tell what episode of The Next Generation was on by the first 15 seconds of the show.

We started re-watching them not too long ago and I've gotten very rusty, especially the early seasons.

I am a total Star Trek nerd, start to finish. Grew up obsessed with the original, went to the movies, loved Next Generation, DS9, Voyager, and tolerated Enterprise but was grateful when it ended early.

I'm in the acknowledgments of two of William Shatner's memoirs.

I've been lucky enough to work with or interview a few of them over the years, too.

Movie opens next week, it was supposed to be Friday, they moved it to Thursday, I have tickets for Wednesday.

I think I've seen every Star Trek movie on opening day!

Yeah, I'm a little nuts. When I was a kid there was a long stretch of no Trek and no movies and one had to hide one's nerdy love for it...now I can display my Captain Picard action figure at my desk and people stop by and say, "Cool."

    They're nerds too.

    WOO!

    Who? Who?

You have me beat by a long shot for fandom. My collection of star trek christmas ornaments and my beloved TNG Encyclopedia just don't compare. LOL

I'm older than you and have been collecting stuff since I was a kid. Back then it was hard to find stuff to collect! Now there's too much.

    Let's see:

I've met William Shatner and James Doohan.
I've interviewed Jonathan Frakes. (So awesomely lovely.)
I've worked with LeVar Burton twice, and the second time, he totally remembered me!
    I worked with Jeri Ryan.

And while I've never met Patrick Stewart (and I'm dying to!), I've seen him on stage many many times in a variety of plays. He's so great. I also saw Brent Spiner in a musical, we got autographs afterwards but that's not really "meeting" someone.
