    Happy Mother's Day!

Mine was decent. The boys were over at my ILs last night and today, but I still woke up at 7:30. DH made me breakfast in bed, and then I was pretty lazy the rest of the morning. We went over to my ILs for an early dinner, which was nice since I didn't have to cook lol. DH did get a card for me, and my middle one made a nice one for me, too.

The watermelon critique was brief and not that harsh but the cleaning. Oy! Every year. But Dave's mom is the ultimate underappreciated mom so I try to make things nice for her.

She is so underappreciated that just the fact that I notice it and make her aware that I know about it cheers her up!

We had a great day, we dont do to much for Mothers day (I really hate days like this with high expectations all around) but the kids made me breakfast and they all made some really cute cards. After church I had to go get DD2 some shoes since she is growing out of hers at an alarming pace. My sweet sweet boy kept picking up things he thought I would like (like every mom needs a Jake and Neverland pirate ship) and say "Happy Birthday Mommy, you give me money for this to buy for you?" I dont think he understood that it was not my birthday. Then we went to my parents and the kids all swam in the freezing cold water while I drank wine on the deck. All in all pretty fabulous day

OMG i don't know! Maybe she's still somewhere on the internet

I've really lost touch with most of them, which is a shame. I hope all of them are doing well, would love to have a place where we could be together again.

Mother's day. Mine was really nice, aside from this crapola cold that i've had since last Tuesday. Seamus and the kids greeted me with coffee and gifts in the AM. He usually makes breakfast too but with me being sick this past week, things have been more chaotic in the house than usual and he just wasn't prepared and i dont' really mind. All the sports activities for the day were cancelled due to weather so for the most part we just had a calm and leisurely day at home. I actually got through some of the kids closets and bagged up a good amount to send off to good will. Then we went out for dinner together. Went to this BBQ place people rave about but we had never bend to. It was really good! Then we stopped and got ice cream on the way home.

Today is Alyssa's 8th birthday. I can not believe how fast the time has gone. 8 years old seems so much older than 7 to me.

8 does seem so old. I was having trouble with Elizabeth turning 5 soon. I don't want to picture 8 lol.

    Happy birthday to Alyssa!

Happy Birthday to Alyssa! I agree that 8 feels old. Lillian turned 8 in March, and they do seem to change a lot around there. I actually enjoy that stage a lot so far...8 - 12 i'm guessing, i dont' have a 12 year old yet..and i'm making up that stage, i dont' know if its a real stage or not LOL

Thank you. I do know a couple of 8 year olds that have started to need a bra. I know they are over weight and Alyssa is very slender, but I can't help be realize it is coming sooner or later. She is changing in so many ways already. We got a land line phone so that she has a phone to use. (Mostly to call Daddy at work and Grandma).
