Why not? Wheat bran is nice too.

That wheat germ quick bread I made this week was fantastic.

I'm so sorry. Terrible. Hopefully it will work and she'll have a long and happy life, without remembering all of this.

Laurie did you check out Glassdoor? Sometimes you can find actual interview questions on there, and insight as to what the process will be like for the interview. I know it was helpful to my husband when he was looking, especially with big corporations like you are dealing with.
    Good luck!

I'm making a big batch of sausage and peppers with this new local chicken sausage I've discovered. My kitchen smells heavenly. I'm on a massive cleaning/throwing away binge in my kids playroom as I prepare to move it all down to the new playroom in the basement. I have a thing for throwing away, makes me insanely happy. Like, manically happy. Tonight is my daughters big end of year show at her preschool. Big night!

Aww. I seems a lot of people I know are going through a hard time right now. FB has gotten to be a place where I go to for medical updates on everyone. I do hope that you are feeling better very soon.

Do you know if you get Spolumbo sausage? If you ever see it, you should to try it. The best chicken apple sausage ever . I don't know if it's exported to the US. Melis, do you serve yours with pasta? I've only had sausage and peppers with penne or something similar, but what do you use that's gluten or grain free? I made Thai noodle salad (gf) last night with Shirataki tofu noodles and I wanted to barf over the texture.

Laurie, I promise I will send you that recipe.

I don't serve it with pasta. I don't do it in a red sauce, I roast it, its a little non traditional. I take red potatoes, red bell peppers and sausage (sometimes I add chicken thighs as well), lots of cloves of garlic and fresh rosemary, rub it down with a healthy dose of olive oil, and roast the whole lot of it at 425 for about an hour. Its delish. I usually serve it with a salad, tonight I'm doing it with mixed summer squashes and roasted tomatoes as I have a ton on hand.

As far as pasta substitutes go I have yet to find one that I really love. Its a challenge for an italian girl like me. This is my favorite to date Pasta, Rice and Grains - Pasta - Rustichella d'Abruzzo Pasta - Gluten-Free Pasta - Market Hall Foods and I also like some of the rice pastas as well. I haven't heard of that sausage but will keep an eye out!

That seems so weird to me. I love that our weather is generally so consistent. I wear the same things all year long. If it's cold, I wear longer sleeves and/or toss a sweater on. If it's hot, I just ***** about it.

I can't let things accumulate, we don't have the space. Tiven has six drawers in her bedroom, and one drawer in the shoe cabinet. If something doesn't fit, then something has to go.

Yes!!! Yesterday and today it's been locking up, refusing to refresh, or just not loading at all. Very frustrating. Grrrr....

Little kids are very resilient, and because their bodies are in full healing mode all the time, they tend to physically handle things like this better than older kids or adults. And ITA with whomever said she's probably not going to remember it. My sister was hospitalized for some good chunks of her fifth year for various reasons and she barely remembers any of it. Her biggest memories are lots of popsicles and her teddy bear being tied to her IV pole just like she was. She doesn't remember the pain, the bleeding, the panic, etc.

If you have a Trader Joe's handy, their rice pasta is excellent. Good flavor, good texture. We aren't GF but I get it sometimes anyway.

I had a nice Mothers Day. I'm not big on celebrating it, it's kind of like Valentines Day to me, I like the sentiment but not the feeling that someone feels forced to do something for me that particular day, kwim? My kids gave me some buttons and marbles that they picked out and paid for with their own money, and made me cards, and recited poems that they wrote & memorized. DH tried to remind them to not fight too much, and we went out for dinner but we'd have probably done that anyway. I enjoyed many glasses of white wine and got all teary-eyed looking at old photos on the computer.

I'm trying very hard to be a good team player but one of my co-worker's is making it very difficult. I think he made our organization look bad in a meeting yesterday but our boss doesn't seem to want to do anything about it. Ugh.
David Letterman is retiring. Such great memories of watching him over the past thirty-two years!

I got out all the summer stuff, but I am afraid to put away the winter wear yet. Even the snow pants are still piled on the freezer cause it traditionally snows May long weekend. I will put them away after that.

There is no way that would work here. In the winter, it can get down to 20F. In the summer it can get to 110F. Thankfully we have central heat and air that keeps our house about the same year round, but when going outside a wardrobe switch is a must.

We are all over the weather map too. We went into the negatives at some points this winter and we usually don't go over 90 in the summer but it gets super humid here
