Well, I sabotaged my unscheduled summer plan. I signed aodhan up for a basketball clinic. I'm probably going to sign Emma up for a cheering camp too.
Still doesn't seem too bad compared to how crazy things are right now! We have nothing going on tomorrow after school and I need to savor the be a use this weekend is going to be nuts! I haven't purposely tried to be that crazy mom running all over the place but I just can't seem to avoid it. Not so easy to say no when your kids take genuine interest in things!

Yeah, my semi-unscheduled summer is going to hell, too. DH talked me into signing Tiven up for TWO more soccer clinics, one is three Friday afternoons for an hour each, but at least it's free. The other is goalie training and it's one Saturday. And yesterday I had to schedule not one, not two, not three or four, but SIX day-long work meetings over the summer. Booooo!
The number of U.S. states in which a person can marry the person they love regardless of gender: 30 and counting!
Bonita -- that is a cute cake! I hope Alyssa enjoyed her special day!
Laurie - one of mine is at Star Trek now. The rest of my crew will likely hold mutiny in the morning once they learn. :P
Has anyone heard from Fuchsia? I have been thinking of her and Rob and hoping the recovery was going well!
As for "unscheduled" summers -- we have several projects but the kids are "planning" a free-time summer thus far! You have my sympathy on feeling that you're on the go nonstop however! (And that many LONG meetings planned too? YUCK!)
Bonita~very cute. I'm sure she loved it!
Sorry all of you are losing your unscheduled summers. The kids will have a great time!

Nice work, Bonita!
We are figuring out the summer now. I think we have to bite the bullet and book what we can and then try to shoehorn in a sitter around those hours once it's all booked. I don't think there's another way to do it! There are half day things and full week things and all kinds of stuff....at least they won't be bored.
