I just don't like wearing sandals with my feet visible....I don't like my feet AND I end up shivering cold all day at work. I'm too old to get away with wearing cute sneakers with skirts. I don't like flats in general because they don't offer much support and I like to walk a lot.

Sometimes I think I'm half dude.

Melis, if your analogies weren't so funny I will I too would be wanting a thumbs down option.

Laurie, they are very comfortable but are best suited to people (well, at least women) who DON'T have really wide feet. They are kind of narrow at first, but stretch out quickly. They are made of canvas so have to fit quite snug when you try them on. Mine are an 8.5 even though I'm typically a 9. The patterns and other fabrics out now are quite pretty and feminine and would look darling paired with a hospital gown and IV pole.I like this about the company, mostly: One For One Movement - A Pair Of New Shoes Is Given To A Child In Need With Every Pair Purchased - TOMS.ca

Hmm....I do have very narrow feet.

I just need a shoe I can wear with summer dresses that won't make me freeze or feel naked, and doesn't have a heel.

Well, there you go. They would probably fit you perfectly and there won't be a toe hanging out of a flip flop in sight.

Laurie, I love my toms with skirts. I love them for the comfort level, I can wear them all day and my feet feel great. I also think they look very cute with certain outfits. I have a pair of the Tom wedges and they are most comfortable wedges I own (I have a lot of wedges, and shoes in general)

Can you give us a hint as to the kind of work it is? No fair dangling carrots! If you'd rather not say that's understandable.

Okay something's in the air because I just got a call from NBC that things are "very very positive" and they're hoping to have more details middle of next week. In the meantime all I want is to know that I can get that interview with the Cooking Channel! Help!

Melissa -- you will do great. Where in Connecticut? You know I'm close to there, right????

Oh poop, Danbury is not that close to us.

Exciting! I have never been flown anywhere for an interview so that is REALLY cool.

Yeah, I really want Cooking Channel, don't even know if I'm getting an interview, but now NBC looms....eek.
