Can I share a minor victory?

I wrote a blog about my kids being huge tape wasters and 3m is sending me tape because they thought it was funny.

Ugh why do they have to try to stick it to you on car loans no matter where you go? Even our credit union just tried to slip by $1100 worth of credit disability insurance on a $15,000, 4 year car loan. I wonder how many people they screw adding that unnecessary stuff to people who don't look at the numbers close enough. I hate it because every single time I buy a car they try and pull this stuff.

Sorry just venting. Maybe I am the only one this happens to. I swear having to watch that paperwork like a hawk takes all the fun out of getting a new car.

This is the third time I've tried to post but then CRASH!!!!!

Anway, happy birthday to your DD, Melis! She is 5 now?

Laurie - keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Alissa - how was your day off??? You must be so excited now

bunny (what is your real name, btw?) - I have a horrible bleeding rash on both feet - on the top of my left foot and then in identical places on both my feet on the inside of my heel. It looks like really bad eczema - all red and raised with scaly dry patches on top. I will literally scratch until I bleed. Nothing will make the itch go away. My foot doctor said it might be some kind of dermatitis. From what I have no idea. '

I have never considered having an issue with any oil or food like the ones you describe. My bloodwork always shows an infiltration of antibiodies, like my gut is reacting negatively to something it's encountering, likely dietary, but nobody's figured out what. Maybe I should see an allergist.

We got a pretty good deal found a used 2005 Buick Rendevous with only 24k miles on it and paid $15,000. Pretty good price for an SUV. There has to be some kind of story behind it some little old lady bought it and parked it in the garage or something. There is a seperate sound system for the back seats and there were headphones in the seat pocket that had never been taken out of the plastic. So if anyone ever sat back there I guess they don't like music

Gloria, sorry about them trying to slip in the extra fees. Dh's family owns car dealerships and you would be shocked at the fees they are legally allowed to slip in. Dh did their finance for a number of years, he was always shocked that people didnt want him to explain what fees were what, they just wanted to sign and get out of there.

    I'm Sammy.

Dermatitis and Excema are such broad categories that they are almost useless as descriptors. Skin stuff is really complicated and frustrating.

Allergists will want to test for the typical 4 first. Wheat, Soy, Milk and Eggs. In the states, That test costs $400 +/-.

With my daughter, she doesn't have one of those allergies. It is soy based, but she can have tofu, edamame, soy sauce, etc. It is just when the oil is modified.

I know it's a lot of work to do, but journalling and isolating is the least expensive way to figure out what is causing the problem if it is dietary. For real, it took us 9 months. I have become very educated in regards to label reading. Once we figured it out, I was so relieved! Yes, it is a tough/complicated allergy, but at least I can get ahead of it, KWIM. And if she has reaction (super rare - because I am very careful) I can always find modified oils in something I thought was safe for her.

I really hope it helps. It may not be the case, but there are a lot of commonalities in what you are describing.

My girls and I have all had allergy testing done. It is only the cost of a specialist doctors visit. I think mine was $35. They make a grid on some fatty skin like your arm or upper leg. It is a ton of tiny little scratches. They do one that is supposed to react to use as a comparison. If any of the skin tests show up, then they will double check the results with a blood test. The test does take a few hours.

Allergy tests, through referral to an allergist, would be $40 here.

    That is awesome! Do it.

We have what is considered to be a great insurance plan, but none of these diagnostics were covered.
