Yep! I also had a turbinate reduction. Wish I would have asked for a nose job, too

And he simply doesn't get how awful it is. Years ago he asked a GP about it who said "yeah, lots of people snore" and that was his effort in terms of dealing with it. I used to use earplugs but once the kids came along I don't feel right about it. I really need to have a serious sit-down with him and spell out that it's his marital obligation to go pursue a solution. It is a massive problem for me. Any commercial with someone snoring in it an actually bring me to tears. Plus I'm freaked out about the health implications as I'm sure he has apnea.

Yes, I would definitely tell them.
Laurie, I feel your pain. I really do. I am certain DH has apnea as well. I wonder how well he is able to breathe through his nose. I know that typically the adenoid shrinks as kids grow up but some people still have theirs into adulthood. It was the reason why Ben snored and had apnea so he had his removed. Makes me wonder if DH still has an adenoid. If he sleeps on his side he's pretty much okay, but he loves to sleep on his back and that's when the sawing of logs starts. It is brutal.

Thankfully DH does not snore. I feel for those that need to deal with that.

DH used to snore but then he lost weight/got in better shape and it went away. Since we got the babies adenoids out his terrible apnea went away, thankfully.

Hope all of the Americans are having a lovely 4th. We had good workouts then hit the pool (finally some sun in our dismal weather!). Everyone is napping while I make some home made guacamole and salsa and a strawberry shortcake to take to a friends tonight. We will have dinner with them and then take our families out to a fireworks show. Fresh mojitos and some sangria on the menu Happy 4th all!

    Happy 4th!

Yeah, Dave's snoring has gotten worse as he has let himself go a bit, that's for sure. Beer makes it worse.

We haven't decided what we're doing for dinner yet but we are definitely going out to see fireworks tonight! We'll bring some fun food and hang out and I'm going to see if I'm able to get pictures of the fireworks with my new camera. I suspect I'd need a tripod to really capture anything, but I'm going to give it a go.

    Happy 4th, American ladies

DH is thin, so weight isn't the reason why he snores. I wish there was something magical to fix him.

    Happy 4th!
Sorry about all the rain Bonita. Our town doesnt do fireworks for Canada day, but the ones at a nearby town got rained out this year too. We do ours during our annual rodeo in August. Its fun cause I can see them from our back yard. The kids are always asleep though, cause it doesnt get dart till so late.
My DH snores, but if I kick him hard enough he rolls over and stops.

I just got tickets for the musical ride and I am really excited! I think DD will LOVE it, and they always like to see the guys in their serge. I think part of my excitement is that we are going as a family, which we dont do a ton. For example, I am taking the big kids to Monsters Inc tonight, and DH is staying home with the baby. Trent has finally started staying somewhat happily with DH, in fact I have been taking the kids swimming before lunch the last few days and we come home to Trent and DH sound asleep together every day. DH is supposed to be off work this week, but he isnt really. He is taking the time to come home when I need him to though, since I made my plans around him being home this month. Hopefully today is his last day.

    This made me laugh.

In NY, Fireworks are illegal except if you have a permit. The town comes together and puts on one really big celebration. It is really amazing. That is the time of year all my family comes together. We normally plan our vacation to NY at that time but this year we went earlier. (I think the fireworks there was postponed due to rain as well) Here, fireworks are legal so all day/night long for the entire week random people put fireworks off. It is incredibly annoying. This year has been great because of the rain there has been a lot less of that. DH was super bummed about not being in NY for the Fourth this year. We did have a nice time while we were there though.

I spoke too soon. Ugg. There are still fireworks. At least they are less. (These are not big fireworks that you can see in the sky, just loud noises)
