I hope I don't eat any of the dip before going there. It's addicting!
My family being Turkish.. they are obsessed with feta, hot tea, and olives. And when I mean obsessed, they will drink hot tea in 100 degree weather and my mother buys feta cheese by the TUB. Feta and olives I dislike very much, lol. Your dip would be safe with me.

Hahaha. I know what you mean (not the feta though). My mom is 1/2 Polish and I don't like kielbasa. You can always leave kielbasa with me. I have to be really hungry to eat it.

I'm Jewish and I hate lox with cream cheese, or lox at all.

I'm Canadian and I hate beer.

No wonder I moved to NYC, the city of misfits.

Count me among the Canadians who don't like beer. Nasty stuff!

I'm a Chicagoan who eats her hot dog with just ketchup...people around here think I'm nuts. I pretty boring when it comes to hot dogs.

Laurie, I'm glad your legs are feeling better! Mine are a little uncomfortable today, after running 6.25 miles yesterday. Luckily I got new shoes today, so I'm hoping that will help.

My dh is in San Diego for one more day, so the boys are hanging out with my parents tonight and tomorrow.

Thanks. I am back to 100% today, I can't tell you what a relief it is! Stairs, hills, squats....I am the queen of 'em all.

We had such a nice time with my dad & his husband. The kids love their grampas and I find it increasingly important to be with my family now that my mom is gone. My dad is such a great guy and this is the last Fire Island summer, they have put the house up for sale. It's quite lovely, with decks on multiple levels (to get shade or sun), a pool & hot tub, a short walk to the beach, and it's all in tiny little area that doesn't allow cars, so everybody walks. The kids went kayaking with my dad's husband, they swam all day, and they asked if they could skinny dip and we couldn't see why not so they did that too. We played bird bingo, we built with Lincoln Logs, we went for walks, and did puzzles. Just a nice simple summer weekend. The kids had a blast.

    Sounds like a perfect weekend!

Is it bad that I'm kind of dreading my sister and her kids coming up here to visit??? They'll be staying at my parents, who are just about 5 minutes from us. Her kids are close in age to my boys, and they all generally get along. But it's seriously exhausting while they're here. My parents kind of expect us to be up there whenever possible, but it's hard since I'll still be working and life goes on...the laundry isn't going to wash itself. So then my mom will say "oh, you can do it up here!". They'll be here two weeks. Can I just start drinking now?

We had absolutely no luck with veggies this year. Nothing even sprouted, not even the special "cool fog" tomatoes, and two of our perennial herbs bit the dust, too. The cat has taken to sleeping in the planters because there's nothing in them except nice warm soil.

I think Weston deleted photos off the camera. DH told me the other day that Weston had been punching buttons on it, and I said, "Why did you let him keep doing that?" DH apparently didn't know that you can delete photos, thought the worst thing was that he might redo some settings. Ugh. When I uploaded the pics tonight, things are missing that I'm pretty sure I took. Bummer.

I'm a Canadian who dislikes beer...and maple syrup! No wonder I can't go home.

I'll take your feta and olives and kielbasa though!
