Kim, we have a virus going around here that sounds very similar to what your family has going on. We were on a trip last week and my oldest was acting weird (she is a teenager so I chalked it up to her just being moody) that night in the hotel she was up a few times saying she thought she would puke but never did. She felt really awful the next day and her and I stayed at the hotel, she puked a couple of times and said her head hurt really bad. She felt a little better the next day and we did a couple of the activities we had planned but she was just dragging. She was like that for 10 days. Only puked 4 or 5 days of that time, but ate very little and said she was nauseous the whole time. She even lost like 10 pounds. None of my other kids got it, but my brother and mom both did and they were out for a full week. My brother ever said he was sure his was acid reflux, but he said meds didnt help.
So maybe it is a weird virus you guys have going on?

Not a UTI, already had a test done. I am actually praying I am not pregnant. Too much going on with my marriage to bring another child into our family.

So Tuesday will be our first day of a new school year. I like to make it a big deal with a fun breakfast and a special craft for the afternoon. I have been looking and looking for just the right craft and nothing popped out to me. I have been home alone with Caitlyn this AM due to her being sick so I spent some time on Pinterest looking for craft ideas. I finally found something I really like and am excited about. more melted plastic beads, this is what happened to ... | Homeschoo...

Hugs to everyone dealing with sick kiddos!

I took a "sick" day today. I slept like poo, and I'm starting to come down with a cold. It's been so crazy the last couple of weeks, so I think my body just needed a break.

Today is Weston's fourth birthday. I got so emotional last night while I was wrapping his gifts, remembering being in labor four years ago. Our kids don't get gum until they are four so I had a pack of gum as one of his gifts and I lost it somewhere during the evening. I ended up running out to the corner market for a new pack and ended up spending 20 minutes talking with two drunk guys and the Korean storekeeper about why I was giving my son gum, of all things, as a birthday gift, debating the pros & cons of sugarless gum and whether I should go with cinnamon blast & scar him against gum for life, LOL! It was really fun & funny & it helped pull me out of my funk.

There's a tiny little cooperative art store near us, and they have a tiny little billboard (13 x 8 inches) in the front window that is available to rent. I made arrangements to rent it this week and made a little birthday display. As we were walking to preschool this morning, Weston did a bit of a double-take when he saw his picture, and then he kept walking. I said, "Who's that?" and he said, "I think it's me." I said, "How did they know that it's your birthday?" and he said, "I..... don't.... know....." Then I started reading it to him and he slowly started smiling and had a *huge* smile on his face by the time I got to the "We love you, Mama & Papa!" part. DH wasn't sure about the idea, but Weston loved it, after the initial confusion.

That is really cute what you did for his birthday. We did not let Robbie have gum until he was 5.

Made strawberry shortcake for dessert but too full to eat any, will have to eat it later.

Happy belated birthday to Weston! Carolyn, hope you are feeling better! Margaret, i LURVE strawberry shortcake...there is always room for strawberry shortcake. I ate the last strawberry off of our pitiful potted strawberry plant yesterday.

I am happy to say that we have gone three days without any barfing, headaches or lethargy! Such a relief. I have to bring her to the doctor today and they probably won't do much since she is feeling better. Either it was some wacky virus, or maybe it was the migraines/headaches thing and she is just over it now. I hope its the former and not the latter because i really don't want this to be a reoccurring thing.

It is so beautiful today....deadline to our project was last night at work and i worked ALLLL weekend, and 14 hours yesterday. I feel so unhealthy sitting here. I want to take the rest of the summer off and go hiking every day.

I so wish i could do that right now.
