Lisa I will be thinking of you today..... That sucks that the dr wouldn't give you any info over the phone!!!!! Remember that you can and will handle anything that comes your way. XoXox owe are having wild weather- mad flooding and thunderstorms and a tornado watch. My poor neighbor and good friend has water pouring into her basement. Ugh.

Our weather has been possessed as well. I do not know when I have ever seen so much rain. We are over 18" above normal for the year.

Lisa please let us know how it goes today! Thinking of you and Ben!

Melissa, stop breaking things! A regular old bull in a china shop you are. In all seriousness, hope it stops hurting soon!

Laurie, have a good vacation if you see this!

I had a really productive weekend this past weekend. I did not work for my job at all and i went through yet another purging spree. I switched two of the kids bedrooms around, went through their closets and got rid of a bunch of stuff. And then i went through our playroom and got rid of a TON of stuff.

Seriously there are some days where if i went with my gut...i would get rid of ALL of our toys, every single one of them and just start over.

I have GOT to get back to school shopping. Aodhan starts on the 28th of August. Middle school! Eek.

Weather is supposed to be beautiful all week with the exception of a few T-Storms today.

Melis, I broke my baby toe about 3 years ago and the xray tech walked back in the room and while she's nodding her head she goes "I'm not allowed to tell you that it's a really bad break." She showed me the xray and says "See that?" and I go "Yeah, the joint" and she says "No, that's the break. You snapped it clean in half." Ha ha. I cannot imagine breaking the big toe though, as it provides so much balance. How did you do it? They make these great sandals especially for people with broken feet and post-surgery stuff. Looks like a Teva sandal but is quite stiff and extends past your toes to protect them. If you have a medical supply store around they probably sell them

Ouch Melis, stop breaking things. My friends daughter broke both her arms this summer, can that be your 3rd bad thing, so you dont need to do another one

Lisa, hope the results are clear, but if not, remember it is not the end of the world. You can handle anything, and you will for your baby!

The weather has been crazy here this summer too. DH striped the deck and we need 4 days of no rain, with 2 more forecasted to stain it, and it has been over a month without that. Normally we go months with no rain in the summer! Its really annoying cause my BBQ is in the middle of the yard, and we cant eat out on the deck cause anything spilled on it will stain it right now. We actually have another sever thunderstorm watch for tonight.

Yep....flooding, tornadoes, +30 one day then it drops down to just a few degrees above freezing. Typical summer in Alberta! Well, except for the flood. We don't get those every year

I just cleaned up at the consignment store for back to school stuff, can't wait to get home and have try ons had the orthopedist for the toe this morning now waiting for the pain specialist for my hip. Never knew that there were drs who specialized in pain management until about three months ago. He's changed my life until I can have the surgery to get this hardware removed.

I did that once with Tiven. I was pregnant with Weston and she was just not picking anything up. Our apartment is just too small to have toys lying all around, and especially on the floor of her bedroom since that's the back door. One day I'd had enough and every single thing that wasn't where it belonged, went into a box if it was something I was willing to keep, everything else went in the trash. I put the box downstairs for a week and then I let her start earning them back with good behavior. It might be time to do that again!

I broke multiple bones over the course of a few childhood years, and I happened to get the same doctor for most of my ER visits. One of my first visits, when he asked why I was there, I said, "I broke my arm." He said, "How do you know that? When did you graduate from medical school?" A few visits later, when I said, "I broke a couple of toes," he said, "I know better now than to joke with you about broken bones!" I've never broken a hip or leg but I've hit pretty much every other body part.

You'll be fine, and so will Ben!

My sister called me on Sunday night to say that she's divorcing her husband. They were married 24 years and have two grown kids. She said that they weren't really having any problems or fights but that one thing came up that she "decided was a deal-breaker and he doesn't seem to be bothered by it," and so she's decided to call it quits. She sounds OK with it, and I'm glad that she's strong enough to do it if she feels it's the right thing. But man, I'm in shock.
The number of U.S. states in which a person can marry the person they love regardless of gender: 30 and counting!
