In other news, this morning I sent a large tub of plain yogurt and a container of strawberries careening off the ledge and down the basement stairs onto the carpet. Both containers opened and there's yogurt splashed up the walls and all over the carpet, and smushed strawberries all down the stairs. It looks like a murder scene. And, it's still sitting there. I was literally getting the kids out the front door when that happened. I picked up the fruit and scooped up the yogurt back into the container, but the aftermath is still there.

Normally those things happen at my house....I must have dodged it this time. Sorry it went to yours!

Lisa, I am so sorry but I kind of laughed out loud a little bit. A few years ago my kids made me a cake and they made it with bright red frosting. My oldest ate way to much while making it and ended up throwing up all over my bathroom, it looked like a murder scene, it took forever to clean up.

As a youngster I drank the better part of 2 bottles of red wine after a break up. I seriously thought I was dying when I threw that red liquid up. Didnt help that I was still drunk

Yesterday in the car my 11 year old asked about Santa. I know she is really old to still believe, but I was so hoping for one more year of magic. She was pretty excited about helping with Santa stuff for her brother and sister though. I had a good "my babies are growing up" cry last night

I think that sometimes older kids are relieved when their parents know that they know there's no Santa. Like, I knew that Santa was make believe long before my mom or dad actually told me. When my mom did actually tell me I wasn't upset. I felt like "Phew. Now I don't need to pretend anymore." but I couldn't wait to be the buzz kill and inform my little brother that he wasn't real! I think my mom threatened death on me or no Christmas presents for forever, or something like that.

Have your kids ever eaten bright blue frosting? It comes out the other end the exact.same.colour. Exactly. Ben's 1st b-day cake had blue frosting and it was the only cloth dipe that ended up with a stain I could not get out!

I once had a friend tell me to feed my boy those colored ice cream cones so he would be excited to poop on the toilet. No thanks. All those food dyes kind of freak me out after the murder scene in my bathroom

Happy day! I signed my new offer letter for the part time position, my job change announcement has been posted, and my current paralegal position recruitment posting went up on our internal/external sites this morning!

I just got back from grocery shopping. You would have thought it was Black Friday there were so many people out. The combination of it being the 1st of the month, a Friday, and the day after Halloween made for a lot of people.
