Kim - I am glad your family is ok. The stories are heartbreaking.

My parents have gotten a lot of snow today. We do not get snow very often. Only once every few years. It is a big deal when we do though.

Today has been quite the day. Alyssa has very bad vision (something like +5 in one eye and +6 in the other). Her glasses broke a few weeks ago. Because the RX is so strong it takes awhile for the new glasses to come in. We had her wear an old pair while waiting and she started having bad headaches so we had her go without glasses for that time. New glasses came in last week. Not only are her headaches not better they are worse. Last night she was in tears her head hurt so bad. (She never had headaches before her glasses broke) So first thing this AM I went and asked Eye Glass World to check her glasses and she if they gave us the wrong RX. They did not. They said possibly her RX changed due to her not wearing glasses for a week. I spent all day chasing around to find a doctor that would retest her eyes. Finely went to Len's Crafters and they said her RX is correct. Went back to Eye Glass World. They are going to remake the glasses, but do not know what is causing the problems. I hate to see her hurt and not know what is causing the problem.

Bonita, did they make sure that the frames were properly adjusted before noting where her pupils are on the lenses? It's amazing how often supposed professionals forget to do this. I'd say easily half the times I get new glasses or lenses, I have to remind the person to adjust the frames first. If that doesn't happen, then when they mark where her pupils are, the lenses are made off-center and that will definitely cause headaches!

Kim, so glad to hear your family is safe!

Weston asked me yesterday when we're going to get snow. I told him we'll go visit some snow after the new year. He wants snow here, LOL!
David Letterman is retiring. Such great memories of watching him over the past thirty-two years!

They said it was off by 2mm. They are going to remake the glasses one pair at a time so she will not be without glasses in the mean time. They did tell me though that being off by such a slight amount should not cause that bad of headaches. We will see.

Kim, my best friend growing up has a lot of family in the Philippines, her family was not as fortunate. I donated to Doctors without borders because the illness in her families village may take more people then the actual storm did. My friend is a nurse and is headed down there soon

Yikes I remember walking to school at those temperatures. There are definitely some things I don't miss about living in Montana.

Is that -11.2 F? Either way, very cold. We did not get any tornadoes yesterday, but there had been a possibility of them.

So excited, it seems like my body is returning to normal and I will be able to go off the blood pressure medicine.

I guess it would be. I don't know the exact conversion.

Forgive me, I didn't know about the tornadoes south of the border yesterday. I hope you are all safe.

I am not good at the conversions either. I just typed it into Google and that is what it said.
