    Oh I don't either...I meant like honey, agave nectar etc.

    I do use white sugar in some of my goodies but I try to not put them in the breakfast items. Only once in awhile.

    Yep. Look, sometimes you have to use sugar, oodles of butter, and all purpose flour. Everything has its moment in the sun! I made myself a CRAZY birthday cake filled with all of those things.

    Always REAL maple syrup. Never "table syrup". GROSS! I'm Canadian, I feel violated when people use fake maple syrup.

    I'm from New England...real maple syrup always .

    My chocolate chip cookies are butter and sugar and brown sugar and chocolate chips. I will NOT reduce for them because they are awesome lol.

    My frosting recipe is disgusting and makes the best frosting. It's birthday cake only frosting.

    Hey! They are coming out with studies now, that good quality real maple sugar can actually lower your blood glucose levels......that makes it better than not having sugar at all! And I love me some maple syrup!

    For the record though, I grew up with home made syrup, made with Mapleine. My parents still make it that way even though you cant get mapleine in Canada anymore. He gets his friend who goes to the states to pick it up for him. They love it! Its weird!

    Have any of you made home made maple syrup? We did one time growing up. It took FOREVER to collect gallons of syrup for it to boil down to just a small amount. There was a homeschool field trip recently here that we were going to go to that was on making syrup, but my youngest got sick with the stomach bug the day we were supposed to go.

    I'm about to make Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies for ear infection Nathaniel. . .recipe from The Pioneer Woman. Butter & sugar for sure! No compromises.

    I never have, but that sounds cool! They dont actually make maple syrup around our way. DD's school does 'carnival' every year though, and one of the activities is pouring maple syrup on the snow to harden into candy. Yum!
