I don't think we have that weed here. Mostly prickles and dandelions. We have our lawn treated every year and it really does help. The prickles were so bad (thanks to our former lazy next door neighbour who NEVER weeded and lived upwind) that I absolutely could not let my kids outside in the front yard without shoes on.

    Kyla how is Connor?

I just spent an hour working ferociously in my garden and yard ~ It is 80 here after I think we had snow just two weeks ago? Psycho weather. I'm filthy and have scratched up arms and filthy hands ~ awesome timing for my first gel manicure on friday before Hawaii ;/. We are doubling our garden this year ~ ours is in our side yard. After hobbling around on crutches last year I'm really looking forward to expanding this year.

I'm getting anxious about being away from my kids for so long. Writing up my medical releases and whatnot right now. DH is away all week so I have a lot of work to do to get all of the kids ready. I bought a bunch of new clothes and I am starting to get really excited. Eeeeeekkkkk!
I had a couple gel mani's (no tips - I don't like tips for me) and I LOVED them. My nails are so thin they just break, but I don't like the feel of thick tips and gel/acrylic. BUT I just bought an LED lamp and gel mani kit so I can do my own and save money

I really struggle with baking. I have a few things I can bake well but I am much more of a cook. I do blog all day, but my blogging is tied to a regional mag so I didn't have to build all of the traffic/infrastructure by my lonesome.

ETA: laurie, your blog is great! I like the mini-meyer lemon bundt cakes! Meyes lemons have been plentiful and cheap in stores lately and we have been indulging in a lot of fresh lemonade. I will try these!

I can't cook at all!! My husband takes care of the cooking in our household. He is going away for a few days later this month and I am freaking out about what the rest of us will eat while he's gone.

I want to bake and take pictures and blog all day, and then bring my baked goods to people to eat. That sounds so fun.

Talk about prophetic - my babble about veggie gardens and growing them in the front yard. One of my fb likes is my hometown - Kingston, Ontario. Look what I just saw on their page! That kicks a$$. That's gotta make you popular with the neighbours

Sorry I am so clueless sometimes. Were you serious or sarcastic? (Just asking from the POV of the garden in the front yard debate)

    That does sound fun!

Here is my best 'baking' recipe. It's for naan bread. You might like it.

I started reworking my MILs bridge club's recipes a little over a year ago. It's an ongoing project. But holy-hell they had a lot of whack-a-doodle ingredients. Canned fruit, Fluffo (heart attack in a can), etc.

It always seems like good bakers don't cook well and vice versa. Maybe it's a right brained/left brained thing. I am so right brained sometimes.

Sarcastic. But my front yard is the size of a postage stamp. There would only be vegetables, no grass. At least the one in the picture kind of blends in with the yard a bit.

He's home from Afghanistan! This is one proud mama! Just wish I could be there in Tucson to give him a hug, but at least he is back in time for granddaughter #2!
