A chocolate chip cookie made with beans? I just threw up in my mouth.

    Yaaaay Gloria!

Good luck with your run this weekend, Lisa! Let us know how it goes. (((Stay healthy vibes))) I am/was a runner, too. The 'was' part is because my right foot is preventing me from running right now. Ever since I injured it with a grocery cart it's never been the same again. ugh.

Bonita - sorry for the pukies, glad she's better!

I'm in the butter camp, too. It's all about moderation. Speaking of fat, full fat ice cream has less sugar and FAR fewer ingredients than the "Lowfat/Light/fake" versions (and often about the same amount of calories). Go figure. Guess it only makes sense that if you take out the fat, a.k.a., FLAVOR, then you HAVE to add all the other junk in to make it taste halfway decent! Not that it helps. It still doesn't taste anywhere NEAR the real thing.

Oh, and I prefer baking, though I love cooking, too. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to cook, though, whereas I can bake no matter what mood I'm in, and even when I'm dead tired. I've been known to bake a batch of cookies from scratch at 10:00 at night. lol.

I think eating the bean-date cookies would make me throw up on my children's car seats.

(just trying to tie it all together)

Omg! I just had my second photo accepted at foodgawker!

It's on the front page now but they move quickly.

It's item #236988 and you can also find it just by searching for "carrot bran".

    Yay for Laurie! Foodgawker queen!

That pie/cookie looks nasty. Beans do not = dessert.

    Congrats Laurie!

And I love dates! I love to take fresh dates and stuff them with freshly ground peanut butter. Mmm. With honey on top? Or some coconut? I die.

I'm with Kyla on the anti-date brigade. Yech. Why ruin perfectly delightful peanut butter with dates?

    Good combination for Chopped, though!

I will side with Melis on the dates. I love dates. I wish they weren't so crazy expensive or I'd buy them more. Coconut on a date? I've never done that before.

The rest of you guys, once you get past the thing about them looking like cockroaches they are quite fanfrikkintastic.
