You guys are all making me LOVE Oregon weather! We definitely have 4 separate seasons, but nothing drastic like that

Throwing this out there, hoping you guys will have some great ideas. My DD is going to Washington DC with her class next year. The trip is $2500. We want her to make her own money to fund this. She has already saved about $900. Can you guys think of ways she could make some money, that she actually has to put work into.

How old is she? Babysitting, mowing grass, house sitting, raking leaves, walking dogs....she could put up flyers in the neighborhood to do those things. My niece 'worked' picking berries at a local farm last year. Her friends and her would go pick for a few hours in the morning and they would be payed by weight. Ummmm....that is just off the top of my head.

We have some pretty extreme weather around here, but I am so glad we dont have to worry about anything like this. Hope nothing comes of it!

I was also going to ask how old she is?

Up until 2 years ago, I never payed attention to the tornado warnings. Then 2 years ago we had very bad tornadoes (Hence the garden space). We were without power for 5 days. We were blessed to not be hurt and not to have any damage to our house although a tree landed within feet of our house with me in the girls in it. Well over 100 people died that day from the storms. I have never felt the same about a tornado warning or watch since.

Word. Like, we get our extremes here, but all I have to do is turn on the US news and watch a weather report and I'm like 'who in their right mind would live in tornado alley or along the coast where hurricanes happen, or earthquakes, or possible tsunamis???? Y'all are nuts, IMO. I like my little land-locked neck of the continent. No fault lines, no coast lines, no nothing except miserable cold and winds high enough to tip over tractor trailers.

Bonita, I hope you are safe and sound. Tornado warning is over right?

2-5 inches of snow predicted today, oh April, you are being so November-ish.
