I'm buying a new face care line today. It is Clinique's redness product line. Anyone ever use it? I've read rave reviews. My cheeks have been very red for about the past year or maybe a bit more. I don't think it's rosacea as there's no bumpy/pimply rash - just red cheeks and I can see some dilated capillaries too and they're also around the bottom of my nostrils. I think it's my heritage. People of british/celtic decent and very fair skin tend to get broken blood vessels on their faces more than people of other backgrounds. Anyone else have this annoying problem? Argh.
Today has been full of working outside. I do not remember if I said here or not, but I put in two new raised garden beds this year. I had someone bring me a load of dirt but there was only enough dirt for one of the beds. Today, a neighbor had a huge pile of free dirt. I filled up the last bed with that dirt by the wheelbarrow full. There is grass in the dirt, so I will cover it with black plastic. I am very excited about tripling my garden space this year. I noticed my lettuce is peaking its head up. It will not be long until things really start to grow. (I am also hoping all that garden work was good for a few calories.)
Anyone else ever have one of those weeks when all your technology goes haywire?
Our cordless phones both died at the same time. My main computer that I use at home crashed, Windows wouldn't start up. I had to install a new Windows operating system and then it took TONS of work to restore my stuff, the thing that mattered most to me were all the stored emails from my mom over the years and I just retrieved them all yesterday. Then the kids denied it completely, but one of them set a password on my iPad and didn't know what it was, so I had to restore to factory condition. (Thankfully I backed it up on the iCloud very recently, but for a while I thought I'd lost everything including photos of the kids.) THEN one of our outlets just stopped working. It's been one thing after another!.

Awww Laurie that is terrible but I experienced something the other week just like that so I feel your pain. I'm hoping today will bring a better day.

What is everyone doing on this beautiful day. For me, the day has dragged somewhat. I already worked in my garden, took the girls for a long walk, caught up on all my grading and entering grades into my gradebook, and did school with the girls. I am also making a new meal for dinner tonight. I was at a potluck dinner on Sunday. One of the ladies brought meatloaf that tasted really good so I asked her what was in it. She used Stove Top stuffing instead of bread crumbs. She then transferred the cooked meatloaf to a serving dish with cooked potatoes and carrots, with brown gravy over top. It was very good, and I am trying it for dinner tonight.
Ugh its already getting hot here. They were saying it was supposed to be 90 today, it is 86 now and now they have lowered the high to 88. At least there is a breeze so it doesn't feel quite as hot. So strange when it was down in the 30's about a week ago.

Laurie, how annoying!
Bonita, all this talk about gardening from you is making me want to plant something! I have never had a garden but a couple of months ago I planted some greens/lettuces and Cauliflower in my turtle enclosure (for them to eat) and they have gone crazy! I need to trim them or something because they are taking over. lol Hopefully when the turtles come out of hybernation they will eat them enough to keep them under control.
Did you make your raised beds yourself or buy them?
