Fuchsia, glad to hear the procedure went well, i hope things continue to get better and better from here!

Bonita, I'm very sorry for your loss. Losing someone that close and that young is definitely hard to process. Hugs.

Melissa, Hooray for degree completion! Congrats to your husband, it must be such a satisfying feeling to complete it and move on!

I have been so busy. I was away all last week in NY for work. It was a busy trip but I always find it enjoyable to go back to the office and actually see people face to face and do some real socializing. I really love my coworkers they are a great bunch of people. I drove 7 hours home on Saturday and then yesterday was Lillian's Confirmation and First Communion! It was a busy day, but a really beautiful one. Couldn't have asked for better weather and we had such a nice gathering of friends and family to celebrate.

My house is a disaster zone from being gone for a week, and due to all the happenings this weekend i haven't restored it. I really hate starting the work week with a chaotic feeling house!

Yes but it sucks (sorry Missy). It has terrible ratings. I tried it and could not even log in. Delete delete delete.

Less than a week gluten free and I've already lost 4.5 pounds. Plus, I feel fantastic. No bloating, no cramps, my nose is nowhere near as stuffy, and I have way more energy. I'm starting to wonder if Ben's issues (he's just like me) are related to gluten.

Lisa, I took one of my kids off gluten the minute I saw how much better I feel and saw a huge difference in her right away too. I decided not to have food here with gluten anymore. If we go out to eat some of my family will order stuff with gluten, but I do not prepare it at all anymore.

Hi all. I just got back from a very quick trip to L.A....I left Sunday afternoon and I landed back at JFK at 6:00 this morning. To say I am exhausted is an understatement. The house was in utter chaos when I walked in and I am trying not to be mad about it. Last week Dave was away for almost 5 days and the house was in complete order when he returned. It's a little frustrating. I'm working from home today.

I saw. I don't get it! These men are perfectly capable, it makes no sense to me that Dave had to leave cereal boxes out and dishes all over and toys on the floor (which the kids should be picking up) and have us run out of things. I was gone for TWO DAYS.

I think I am lucky. When he is able, Rob is actually pretty good at keeping things from getting too bad. It is the teenager I have trouble with! Every thing I ask of her she fights me on and then does a lazy half a$$ed job. So it take 3 times as long to do it between the fighting, her doing the task and them me having to go back and redo it! It isn't like I am asking for the whole house to be scrubbed. Just unload and reload the dishwasher! Run a vacuum! How hard is that? The most annoying part is that her room is super clean and she leaves the rest of the house for me to do. So I know she knows how to clean. She just thinks it should be my job to do it all. I hate feeling like the family slave.

So I am training Kaiya to help with things. If she says no (which she learned from watching her sister) she instantly loses all screen time until she changes her tune. It is amazing how fast a 4 year old can tidy her toys to get tv back!

For the most part, I refuse to redo any cleaning job that someone else has done. My exception is the dishwasher. For some reason my DH can't load the dishwasher properly to save his life. If someone kidnapped him and said, "Get all these dishes in there or we'll kill you," he would be dead. I don't understand it, does he not pay any attention to where he's taking the stuff out from??? Can he not see that, if the bowls were turned the other way, the glasses would fit on the side??? So our compromise is that he loads it and he leaves a pile of the things he couldn't fit, scraped off & ready to go, and I fit them in and get it started.

And he has a typed-out list of instructions for laundry, but that's mostly because we use a coin-op so I try to maximize the savings by reducing the number of loads.
