There's a suspect in custody. Apparently he walked into the court house carrying a bag, put it in the screening machine and it looked suspicious. A sheriff questioned the man, his story sounded inconsistent, so the sheriff arrested him and called the police. A robot went in and removed the package. That's all I know.
I never minded pumping. I considered it my Zen Tiime of the day, and rather than focus on the fact that I was away from my kids, I chose to focus on doing something for them. I was so good at it, I ended up donating hundreds of ounces of EBM that my babies didn't eat. Not sure I'd have felt the same way if that was the only to feed them. And I stopped pumping long before I stopped nursing. I read that Mayim Bialik was still pumping when he son was 2.5 and, while I'm a big fan of extended nursing, there's just no way I would pump that long.

I liked pumping too Stacey. I breast fed all my babies but was a donor mom, I pumped once every morning, and like you it was relaxing to me. I think that I donated like 1500 oz or something all in? I forget exactly. The dairy was small, but prolific I stopped by the time that they were about 14 months, but kept nursing them, too. It got old after a while, the pumping thing. I can't imagine doing that exclusively. Nursing always took my baby weight off, it would peak and I would be under my pre preg around 6 or 7 months, but then when I introduced solids I would gain some back and be back to normal by around the time they were a year.
I remember that the morning after Claire was born (she was born just before midnight) I weighed 17 pounds less. I just peed for like a week straight. That was a lot of my weight. Pee.
Lisa I had that happen with my third. I actually weighed more 3 days after having him (and he was 9+ lbs) than I had before labor.....and within 24 hours lost 22 lbs. I went into delivery with no swelling, wearing my wedding rings etc.....but on that 3rd day post delivery my feet looked like fred flintstone, I could hardly even wear flip flops, they would leave grotesque indentations in my feet. It was SO uncomfortable. I think I lost like 22 lbs in 24 hours. Same thing, I think I did nothing but pee for 24 hours straight Ahhhh, that sexy week after delivery!
Hey you know how I didn't get an in-person interview for that job I wanted? Today I emailed them again and outlined why they should bring me in for an interview.....and they agreed. Interview is now Friday morning!

I took Kaiya to the eye doctor today and she needs glasses...bad. It turns out she can't see and everything is blurry! The doc said she was has small eyes and will just always need glasses. There is nothing major that is wrong with them. She just can't see and probably has never been able to. We knew she was having trouble, but had no idea how bad it was.
So now we are going to the glasses store as soon as her eyes calm down from the drops.
Cause I really needed more on my plate right now! Fortunately she is thrilled at the thought of getting glasses. Apparently she didn't know she couldn't see either. Now that she knows she is supposed to see more she wants to get glasses right away.
