The guy, Mark Lamott Hill who "admitted" the bias is a philly local and a AA guy who has a vested interest in the AA community (Marc Lamont Hill | Teachers College: Faculty Profile) ~ of course he would see media bias ~ heck ~ I totally 100% admit and have admitted there is media bias against minorities....I'm just saying this bias in this case isn't about ABORTION, Gloria, thats all.
As I said in my first post and continue to state this case doesn't have the big "hook" that draws viewers, ratings, and ultimately MONEY. Its a business decision, not an abortion decision, thats all. Hot young women do. Baby killers like Casey Anthony do. Cases which could go either way do. This guy is as guilty as the day is long....it just doesn't bring the viewers or the interest those other cases that your links keep trying to compare it to do.
Well maybe that is why Fox News consistently rates higher than the other news channels. Because they have covered it so I guess they know what viewers want to see.

Aren't Fox and CNN, like, one step out of the tabloid gutter? That's the impression I've always gotten - a bit of a laughing stock in terms of reputable journalism. All about the sensationalism for ratings.

So I guess you think liberal media that chooses what they want you to see is better?

Gloria, could you please take a second to explain this to me. If you contend that there is a blackout of this story, then you rave about how Fox is covering it, and then say that more people watch Fox than any other........how are people being denied access to this story? Your entire point is being countered by......you?

Gloria, which way do you want it? One one hand you're villifying sources that post the gore, and then on the other hand you are screaming censorship about who chooses not to run the story.

Fox News is a cable channel not a network channel. Not everyone gets cable and cable is not free news. So yes it was not covered by the MAINSTREAM MEDIA.

I'm not vilifying the sources that post gore. You were the one claiming that is the reason they weren't covering it. Either way that doesn't make sense as the reason it wasn't covered, because there were some that posted pictures just as gory and some that ran the story without the gore of similar stories. It wasn't covered either way. I remember the story of the man who ate another guys face off, some ran the story and showed the pictures, and some ran it without the gory pictures. But they still ran the story either way.

Mainstream media (MSM) are those media disseminated via the largest distribution channels, which therefore represent what the majority of media consumers are likely to encounter. The term also denotes those media generally reflective of the prevailing currents of thought, influence, or activity.[1]
Large news conglomerates, including newspapers and broadcast media, which underwent successive mergers in the U.S. and elsewhere at an increasing rate beginning in the 1990s, are often referenced by the term. This concentration of media ownership has raised concerns of a homogenization of viewpoints presented to news consumers. Consequently, the term mainstream media has been widely used in conversation and the blogosphere, often in oppositional, pejorative, or dismissive senses, in discussion of themass media and media bias.
If you click on the bolded "concentration of media ownership" you will see "News corp" they are the SECOND LARGEST MEDIA GROUP IN THE WORLD

News Corporation or News Corp. is a diversified multinational mass media corporation headquartered in New York City. It is the world's second-largest media group as of 2011 in terms of revenue, and the world's third largest in entertainment as of 2009.[5][6][7][8].
News Corporation is a publicly traded company listed on the NASDAQ, Formerly incorporated in South Australia, the company was re-incorporated under Delaware General Corporation Law after a majority of shareholders approved the move on 12 November 2004. At present, News Corporation is headquartered at 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York, in the newer 1960s–1970s corridor of the Rockefeller Center complex.
News Corp's U.S. holdings include Fox News, The Wall Street Journal and Twentieth Century Fox.[9].
Fox News Channel (FNC), also known as Fox News, is a cable news channel owned by the Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary ofNews Corporation. As of April 2009, the channel was available to 102 million households in the United States and to viewers internationally, broadcasting primarily from its New York studios.
The channel was created by Australian-American media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who hired former NBC executive Roger Ailes as its founding CEO.[1] It launched on October 7, 1996[2] to 17 million cable subscribers. It grew during the late 1990s and 2000s to become the dominant cable news network in the United States.[3]
Critics have stated that Fox News Channel promotes conservative political positions[4] and biased reporting.[5]
That was 102 million households in 2009. That number is WAY bigger today, 4 years later. Lets not pretend that Fox news is some tiny little source of news only available to the elite, Gloria, shall we? C'mon.

Heck, people probably can even get it on their Obamaphones

So I guess it is ok with you that ALL the other media sources are biased. But since Fox News isn't we shouldn't complain.
