No-you are being purposely obtuse. Fox is no lover of minorities ( their demographic is hugely white). They are just catering to their rabidly anti choice demographic. Again- news outlets show what sells. Everyone knows that------/I thought? It's all about ratings. This is like, tv 101 Gloria.

Let's argue about how the media focuses on what they feel "sells" news stories. I think we've come to agree that minorities being hurt, killed etc. are largely ignored unless they are famous. I think that is a valid debate and a huge point in this news item.

I don't think that this is not front page news nationwide because it is about abortion. Like I said, I feel like this only better shows how awful it can get when it becomes limited or non existent for women. It is a disgusting story but not one that I hadn't heard of from various news sources but I also don't watch GMA so I don't know what or why they pick the items they do.

Of course. Anyone that disagrees with you is obtuse because no one could possibly have a different opinion.

I simply don't think that the other media sources not reporting on it is a bias. It's a local story to Philly and it's being covered there, let the rest of the country cover their own local stories. When it's a big-enough story, as it was when he was first arrested and when his trial first began, outlets around the country DID cover it and likely WILL cover the results. As someone else said, this isn't an abortion story, it's a poor dead minority woman story and that just doesn't sell across the country on a daily basis.

Of course people can have a different opinion. But in a debate, that opinion ought to be backed up by facts. I believe that in this debate, you have actually argued against yourself, first stating that there was a media blackout, then stating that Fox was covering it from the beginning, then showing what a major news source Fox is. Further, I believe that you have failed to show that this was in any way a case of media bias related to abortion.

I posted two quotes from reporters who admitted it. Really just the fact that after a pro-choice reporter wrote a scathing article about it in USA Today and suddenly the media started running stories about it is enough proof for me.

Well I find you easily swayed because of your personal bias Like I said, this "pro choice reporter" you speak of is a philly native with a vested interest in pushing an AA agenda. He isn't worried about the abortion agenda, but the minority one. I think that you are having a hard time objectively seeing that, because of your own abortion agenda.

And I think your personal bias from your own abortion agenda keeps you from seeing something that is obviously there. So I guess that just puts us back where we started.
