I chose to work in the private sector (I didn't have to work with "bums") and generally had a lot of respect for both my fellow employees and my employers. No they don't. The ASVAB is on administrative, mechanical, electrical and something else. I don't loathe the populace; I loathe idiots, people who refuse to work, people who have kids they can't afford, and anyone who thinks it's OK to trample on my rights.

You aren't paying my salary, nor is anyone who is able to vote today. It's just getting added to our kids debt. I do earn what I get and am worth a crapton in the civilian world but 9/11 rocked my world and I felt like I needed to do something for our country. It's a shame that some of the people in this country are too stupid to realize that the rights were fought for are getting taken away from them. My employer is the United States Air Force with the President as my top boss, where exactly does a SAHM fit into that scenario?

eta- my husband doesn't care one way or the other about any of the issues we discuss here. He's a hardworking man who just cares about his family and his responsibilities. Maybe if we had more people like him, the politicians wouldn't be able to brainwash the idiots in our country into believing they need the government to tell them how to live.

You mean the president you mock and hate? That one? This SAHM fits into it in that she enables her husband to travel in order to sell your people (specifically USAF) the ability to have the technology that you need for your people on the front lines to stay alive. If you want more info feel free to pm me but that's all I feel comfortable sharing publicly. And if you would mock me than mock military wives, too.

I love it when people bring up my status. I know your salary and I chose to give up a multiple of your salary to stay home with my children because I could- so mock my choice if you like. Our lifestyle is thanks to you- and thank you for your service.

Oh, Find one single post where I've mocked the President or said I hate him. ONE. With your special "advanced search" skills. There are hundreds of thousands of women who work who's husbands travel.So don't pretend like you are enabling your husband to travel because that's just stupid. You are doing something to help your family and that's fantastic, but don't mock my job since whether you want to admit it or not, mine produces products used by every single one of our allies worldwide. ;)

I'm not in any way mocking your job, and, again, you resort to cursing. That is wonderful that you chose to take 1/4 of what you could make to work for a government and a people that you seem to mock. I'm only going by your posts, Lillie, I don't know you. You are spewing invective and hatred lately on here........if that is not what you feel I am so relieved! Truly! I can take whatever heat you throw at me, I have nothing to hide.

I won't "pretend" that I am enabling my husband to travel....because I am. I mean. I could put my three kids in daycare for 60 plus hours a week while he and I traveled or were in school, but that would not support the family that we wanted. And we find family to be important. It would not work for us to have two parents not there for our kids like that ~ our jobs were such that they simply didn't enable us both to work. We chose this life, just like you chose yours. Mock it all you like, but it is ugly of you. Again, its wonderful that you produce products for our allies, so does my husband, so do I by proxy, and I thank you for your service.

I know several Cons/Repubs who do not think that this is their cause.

Of course not. I was trying to ask her not to make things personal because I know Alissa said she was busy today. I was trying to be nice to YOU by not having someone speak like that to anyone on here. I seriously feel like I can not win here.
