Yeah that takes rocket science to figure out that if you are holding a Wii gun you would expect to be playing a video game with guns in it.

Are you familiar with studies and how they are designed and what they indicate? I will be the first to say that it was a study of small size (only 270 participants)-- but the findings clearly indicate a need for additional study in this area and could explain the rash of shootings we've had by armed people of unarmed people.

Honestly, this study might help that nut job in Florida who shot the innocent teenager......sick.

I find it pretty revolting that there is an underlying message on here that only unintelligent people own guns. I know of one family that doesnt own guns IRL. Or that you must be some kind of redneck to want to hunt

That isn't the message at all, Lisa. This is a study.

Or maybe it is just bunk like the climate change stuff, too. Right? Damn PhD's and their agendas?

I am not speaking to that study, I am speaking to this thread in general.

Who said that? Where are you picking up that tone? I know many intelligent people with guns and are responsible owners. Doesn't mean that I like guns.

I sure did. If I am sitting in front of a computer monitor with a Wii gun in my hand of course I would expect to see guns because that is what you look for when you play a video game with a Wii gun. I don't see how we need a study to expect that response. That has nothing to do with real life.

Okay so if you are playing a game and are holding a gun you expect the person on the screen to automatically also have a gun.

    However,

If you are holding a real gun and real life you are saying there is no way you would have the same response? If someone lifted up a shoe to you and you had a gun you wouldn't use it thinking that person must also have a gun?

Where are you getting that? The only people I know who hunt are really rich and go on expeditions in Alaska or Africa (my friend just killed two zebras, for new chairs) or hunt for sport, generally to cull overpopulated deer herds which is a big problem here, and generally with bows. Quite the opposite of redneck! They don't use Semi automatic weapons, but that is really neither here nor there as to their intelligence.

As to intelligence, I admit to having theories or perhaps bias about people who don't want to limit any sort of gun access because it simply flies in the face of all reason, especially in the wake of this tragedy and others like it, but I haven't seen anyone make disparaging comments about gun owners. Could you elaborate?
