People are screaming about their "right" to privacy about this and its weird. When you fill out a public request for a license, its just that, public.
So if you get a fishing license is it ok with you for it to be published on a website with a map with your address that you got a fishing license? How about a driver's license. Should there be a map with everyone's address that has a driver's license?Quote:

There are exceptions to FOIA. Medical records, social security numbers, tax returns etc. If you are requesting a public license, it's public record. You may or may not realize, someone could request a copy of your divorce decree. Your SSN and other sensitive information would be blocked out though.
Filing for a gun permit is public record. FOIA allows access to this data. The newspaper has the right to publish it.

There was a day that journalists and newspapers were supposed to be impartial and report the news instead of make news and political statements. Those days are long gone. The people from this newspaper now have had all their names and addresses published too. I'm pretty sure the backlash from what they did will destroy this paper, as it should.
