Proof then that educators who sign up for a class aren't able to defend.

I wouldn't expect a teacher to open carry a gun in a holster on her hip where anyone could grab it.

In Dallas they issue police officers the cheap holsters and if they want the more expensive locking holsters they have to buy them on their own. Maybe the officer he grabbed the gun from wasn't using a locking holster and got too comfortable. That doesn't prove anything.

So you expect a teacher to have more gun intelligence than a police officer? A teacher will have more training than a police officer? No they won't. That is crazy. That is why we have police officers.

But wait, they are ineffective. So is the plan to cancel the police force and just arm everyone? Then you can all shoot each other and who ever is left standing has the right to live? Is that how the second amendment works? Cause that seems to be the interpretation!

It proves he was irresponsible with his gun.

Maybe so. That still proves nothing. Teachers wouldn't open carry a gun on their hip where a student could grab it out of the holster.

It has nothing to do with police officers being ineffective. It has everything to do with the fact that by the time the police officer gets there everyone could be dead.

Teachers are out-numbered 40:1 at the high schools. Some students outweigh their teachers by 150 pounds. You really don't think 1 or more students could take a concealed gun from a teacher, a teacher could misjudge a student's intentions and shoot the student because they felt threatened, or a teacher would fire their weapon because a fight seemed to get too serious?

I think it would be a much better idea that if a school could not afford or have for whatever reason a security guard, that a better option or compromise of either pepper spray or a taser. It would still help protect you, without the risk of someone accidently getting shot, or ending the life of a kid who made a bad decision.

Than once again, why bother? I have seen time and time again how the police do nothing, can't get there in time etc. Why have them at all if they can't help at all? Why even bother? Because you all have guns anyways.
