You do know who invented orphanages? Who started most of the hospitals.. who creates most of the shelters and foodbanks?

I live in an area that has a lot of people that have a double income and we are already required to have insurance here and employers are already fined when they don't provide it and they meet the criteria...so a lot of people have insurance. AND it includes birth control pills. And vasectomies. AND abortions! Can you believe we actually function up here? People not making moral judgements on others? It's like a miracle we can go on with our lives!

My employer is offering me health insurance. I don't expect to see them say..but you know what..we don't like that particular thing you might want or need. (My friend has to take bcp for endo...not actual bc but if she worked at Hobby Lobby she wouldn't be able to have her insurance pay for that? Crazy.)

Just curious.... since your employer doesn't provide your milk are they saying you aren't allowed to drink milk?

Nope because along with health insurance, my employer pays me so I can buy milk and I don't get a note in my paycheck that says...for everything..but milk.

Since I work for my insurer they are self insured for us. They don't limit what I do. It's nice.

They aren't. He isn't forcing his religious views on anyone. He just doesn't want to pay for them. If someone employs a Native American and they use pyote in their religious practices should their employer be required to pay for that?

Hobby Lobby pays their employees and they can buy as many pills as they want with that money. Same thing.

IMO it is not different than buying milk. They pay you a wage, and you buy what you see fit. Why should it be that there is a note in your pay check that says X amount of your pay went toward health insurance? Should you not get to chose what your pay check goes to?

His religious convictions are not more important that someone's health. Your employer shouldn't have anything to do at all with your health or your health insurance. Your employer should not be the one paying for your heath care.
