Default I just saw this Halloween event and I can't stop laughing.

    Awesome or Fun-Sucking Vampires?

Sorry it won't let me load the picture. Here is what the sign says:

Masked Mamas and Monsters Against Monsanto!
An Organic Halloween Exchange - Come in Costume
Bring Organic Treats for the 'lil ghosts and goblins!
    Bring Signs!

One of my yoga teachers is vegan and was telling me that what she does is let her kids trick or treat and then swap it out for vegan candy that she gets. No reason to turn it into a "thing".

    She's a smart woman.

Same here. I'll in favor of a protest against Monsanto, but I wouldn't let it supercede a beloved Halloween ritual. We're vegetarian and Tiven knows what kinds of things have gelatin in them, so if there's an option, she just chooses something else. And if she does end up with gelatin candies, then I swap them for something else & take them to work where my co-workers help them magically disappear!
