I guess so, I mean, the odds are vastly in my favor that it would never happen again. I've never been on a cruise, nor really had the desire to, but am about to go on my first as we are going on a Disney cruise in early summer. I'm excited about it as the opportunities for the kids seem awesome, and my whole family is going, so my kids are going to get to experience all the fun of Disney with their cousins and Grandparents. We are definitely going to do a small boat cruise someday, DH wants to do the baltic sea one and I want to do a Mediterranean one (like on silversea cruises, small and elegant) but that is probably a ways down the line. While their experience sounds crappy, literally, it wouldn't put me off the entire idea any more than reading about a house fire would make me not want to buy a house. Odds, and all.

I do love the pictures of the Silversea cruises...it reminds me of the cruise ship on "An Affair to Remember" but of course, up to date.

Everyone I know who has been on one says the same thing, so even though I have had an aversion to cruising, I think that it will be a lot of fun, especially for the kiddos. So glad to hear that you guys enjoyed it

Hey, off on a little tangent here, but how old should the kids be, ideally, to really enjoy a Disney cruise?

Having never been I'm not sure, but mine will be 6 5 and 3. I know that kids under 3 can't go to a lot of the kids club things, so I'm happy that the baby will be 3 before we go.

We did Disney cruise with a 12, 10, 5 and 2. I think the 2 year old was a little too young and then the oldest bordered on enjoying some of the stuff targeted at younger kids. She did love it tough

Sorry to have posted this and then left for 5 days.

DH and I have toyed with the idea of a cruise off and on for the last 10 years. We planned to go on one for our 10 year wedding anniversary last year, but then DH found out he needed to donate his kidney to his brother and would be off work for awhile. We have begone talking about doing something big for either our 15th wedding anniversary or even next year. This cruise though really makes me think I would rather a resort than a cruise. DH went with a Missions group to the Dominican Republic and they stayed at a resort the last day. He was really impressed and because we have good friends that live there, we could get a much cheaper rate and a real behinds the scenes tour of the island. With a cruise I am afraid of being on it, not liking it, and having no way to leave.
