Do you think it's appropriate for a doctor or dentist to have a nude hanging in his office?
I recently went to the urologist. I had my girls with me (they usually are). There was an anatomically correct poster of a naked man. It was labeled with all the parts and reason for an illness. It was embarrassing to explain to my girls but not a big deal. The posters can help.
I have seen similar posters at my OB' s office only for woman.
I dont worry about nudes, whether they are art or for information. But we are very open about nudity here

It makes more sense to have an informative poster, like this is the urethra, bladder, penis, vagina, vulva, etc. But I wouldn't be bothered if there was an art piece of a naked woman laying on a lounge. I probably would just sit there and compare her boobs to mine or something, lol. I feel like it would make sense for that type of painting to be in the doctor's personal office space but whatevs.
Okay, I feel like a prude then.
There could never be anything embarrassing about a medical information poster in a doctor's office.
But this is not that. It's an erotic nude of a woman with her pubic hair on display (which I don't think is legal in this country anyway!) and it's a dentist. It is also a pediatric dentist.

No problem with an informative poster.
At a medical professional's office I would feel weird about an artistic nude picture up. The same picture would not necessarily bother me at a gallery, restaurant or other type of office.
