Oh, Kim. Miles and Aodhan sound like they have the same heart (maybe all of these sisters :) ) Miles worries himself and is anxious-- no way can I share with him what happened.
We did sit our big girls down (ages 7 & 9)-- and I absolutely felt like I was robbing of them of their innocence. Sucks. We kept it honest and straightforward and gave some details but not all. Scary stuff. Feels like one more of 500 things we have to deal with today that parents 30 years ago didn't have to.....*sigh*

I cannot even imagine going through something so tragic at all, nevermind just before Christmas.
The day this broke out on the news, a programme was shown about the Dunblane tragedy. I don't know, but I watched it and I was in tears.
We should not have to worry about our children when we send them off to school, it's just so completely wrong.
