But that's a choice his employer is making. It's not something they *HAVE* to do, unless you had cruddy coverage before but I know you've said you didn't.

I get to keep the same insurance I had this year and last year.

My post was in response to why we would care about the website. The idea that all of the website problems are due to too many people being on it and that people don't have any business knowing what is on the site is a little crazy.

Technical difficulties happen, but it is not the fault of everyday Americans wanting to know exactly what Obamacare is.

You didn't say you were looking for insurance. You said your dh was trying to log in to pick on it.

You are right I did say that. A better way to say it is that he wants to know exactly how bad the plans are. I do believe though that the American people have the right to that information. I truly want to know, and believe that if it is going to be a long time until the website is up they should release the information another way.

Is his employer only allowing purchase through the exchange or can you go to each insurance company and ask for a direct quote?

The only way DH can get insurance through work is to choose either a Gold, Silver, or Bronze plan (I think those were the choices). How much the plans will cost has been released, but what each plan will cover has not. Blue Cross is the only company that is participating.

This isn't a guarantee but call or go on the BCBS website directly and ask them about those plans so you can know the coverage. Member services should have access to the plans. They may not have the cost available but can tell you what the plans cover.

Thank you. That is a good idea.

I saw this online reciently and thought some of you might be interested to know what Dave Ramsey had to say about Obamacare.

Poor Richard's News - VIDEO: Dave Ramsey lays out the facts of Obamacare for both Democrats and Republicans

(I understand it is only one point of view, I just thought some would find it interesting)
