Thanks everybody! Wowwee, I feel so special to have this whole thread to ramble about me. LOL

Kim - Thanks for sharing your experiences - that is kind of what I'm thinking that if this labor goes fast and easily in the beginning, it will probably be easier to say I'm skipping the epi and sticking to it.

And how awesome to have your kids be able to start dinner for you! Oooooh, I live for that day!

Shauna - Ooooooh, I'm so embarrassed that you asked me that. I have done almost NO Hypnobabies. I meant to, truly I did. *Hides face in shame* Did it help you a lot?

Bahahahahaha. Oh man, that does sound gross. LOL With Gestational Diabetes they really worry about the trunk getting really fat causing the shoulders to get stuck. *Swoon* But I am very pleased to say that according to our last ultrasound, my kiddo is a little skinny minny in the trunk region. His tummy is measuring like 2 days behind! (Where as the rest of him is still measuring a couple of weeks ahead - like the long bones in his arms and legs, and....gulp....his head.....) So my diet and exercise regime has worked, thankfully. (heaven help me, it *is* a regime. My daily walks have become death marches. LOL)

I love the name Alissa. I was always super hung up on the first name and the middle name didn't matter at all to me ~ all my kids have family middle names. After birth they don't matter at all, really, other than when the kid is in trouble Like, I doubt my kids kindy teacher even KNOWS his middle name, you know? So I would go with whatever is dear to your husband, and then one day pull it out (like, darling, I think its time to upgrade my wedding band. I was thinking a 2 carat eternity band. Remember when I went with Valentine? Yes darling, me too.) Heheh. Totally kidding. Anyway, I like it.

I agree with Missy on convienance foods ~ and I bet that you have lots of people bring you food ~ I found that with second or more kids people were way less likely to bring gifts ~ especially when the baby was the same sex ~ and way MORE likely to provide meals ~ mom friends have been there and know that that is what you really need.

That is one beautiful baby belly Mama. I love your scarf and your shoes Kidding!!!

At 35 weeks Ben's head was in the 125th percentile, and I only had 2 teeny stitches and was up and about with like zero pain after. The second is like a walk in the park, at least it was for me and lots of people I know, and I hope it is for you too!

Melissa - Ooooh, I hope you're right! If there is anything in the world I love, it's other people's cooking. LOL I laughed about using "Valentine" to get a diamond eternity band.

I love the name. We do that too, and our kids have some....different middle names.

I wont tell you about my second birth But I will say that it was about half the time of the first!

Oh, and I never did anything special to prepare for my births and did all of them with no epi. The last two with nothing at all (though with the second I was like that drug addict, begging). But I am terrified of putting something into my spine, so that fear made it a much easier decision.

I loved my epidurals, terrified as I was of getting them.

We have some funny middle name things going on as well.

After Ben was born FIL says to me "Benjamin Reid? Just what kind of name is that? Where'd you get that name? It's not a family name." Yeah, well, when you have Herbert, Melvyn, Ernest and Wayne to choose from, it's a pretty simple decision....NOT going with a family name.

And Laurie, the only one afraid of the epi in this house was DH. He passed out cold when he saw the needle go in my spine. There he was, all laid out on the floor, doing this weird hand pointing jerking motion. Everyone went rushing to his aid, anesthesiologist included. I'm like "Hello? I've got a needle sticking out of my back here. Little help please." Second time, no epi, he almost passed out again. Right as Ben was being born he goes "I don't feel so good" and the nurse just told him to go park it on the couch until it was time to take pictures. I loved that nurse.
