I have an R to talk about now....) have the same first name initial as their womb name. We didn't plan it that way, it just happened. Tristan was Tank in the womb (named by DH, because he was always so big for his gestational age) and Reid is Rocket (named by Tristan, because Rocket is an awesome name.)

Audra - Thanks! I'm thinking that walking T to the park this weekend sounds like a plan, since it's going to be so nice.

So, we had some excitement last night. I had my drs appt yesterday, which included a cervical check. We've made no progress over the past week (still dilated to 2cm and 75% effaced) so no news there. MY BP was the highest it's been, but I guess they were still okay with it because they didn't do anything but notate that we need to keep an eye on it and reiterate signs that I need to watch for like visual disturbances and headaches. So, no big.

This next part may be TMI, so feel free to skip.

So last night, I went to the bathroom, and there was a TON of blood, and even a couple of large clots. I know that cervical checks can cause "spotting" but this was like a heavy period. Totally freaked. So I called my drs after hours line, and they said that it could be due to the cervical exam, but I should probably go in to L&D at my hospital. So, I finished packing my bag and T's bag just in case this was it, then we took T to my mom's house, and then went in to the hospital. Where they checked me out and determined that I was a) not in labor and b) there was not a thing wrong with me. So I guess the bleeding was from the cervical check, but that just amazes me. I had one last week and I barely spotted any pink, and then this week I'm passing clots the size of quarters? Whaaaaaa?

DH was all disappointed that yesterday wasn't the day. He was like "March 13th is a palindrome! That's a good day to be born!" (3/13/13 reads the same front and back) He's also rooting for today, since today is "Pi Day" (3.14) He's a nerd.
Oh its going to happen soon...i predict before the weekend is over!

I am totally with your DH on the cool birthdays.

What's that old old poem? The one that starts "Monday's child is..."???? Now I must google because I forget, but Alissa, you should pick whatever day of the week you think will suit your baby the best. Of course, we know you won't pick the 'full of woe' or 'far to go' days.

    eta - k, found it:

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

I'm Friday's child. Yeah, whatever Apparently my children are fair of face (Ben) and full of woe (Claire). I suppose that's true about Claire when she flings herself down on the floor in a puddle of tears because I won't let her bring her princess dolls to school. Happens all.the.time.

Haha, I'm a Wednesday too. I'd rather be just about any other day from the descriptions. LOL T is a Monday. Awwww, so true, he does have a lovely little face. (I'm not biased or anything.)

Kim - do you think the bleeding is a sign that it's going to be soon, or are you just saying that in general?

More gut feeling combined with the odd heavier amount of blood plus your delivery timing with T.

oh, and just because I'm excited and I want to meet the newest member of your family...thats really probably 90% of it

Haha, me too! Every night I go to bed and think "I'm probably going into labor tonight" based on nothing, except that I had T by now, and more than that, because I'm just really excited and feeling ready to meet him. And then every morning I wake up and I'm NOT in labor and I get disappointed. Which is totally silly because I'm only 37 weeks. But I'm so excited to finally get to see him and hold him, so this past couple of days seems like it's taken about 2 weeks.

Labor happened at night (my water broke with 2 of 3 and I woke up in hard labor with one) with all three, so I went to bed after 39 weeks with each one thinking the same thing . It was like going to bed was the most exciting part of my day and my eyes opened and saw sunlight and my heart sank ~ Oh noes! No labor! . It will happen!!

Edited to remove excessive overuse of smilies.

Word. It was like Groundhog Day, waking up to the same damn thing each morning.
