Lisa - Right now, nothing. I get contractions every night in bed, but nothing has "stuck" so far.
DH mentioned the Ides of March too.
Such an exciting phase...at least for us, to observe.
My son arrived on his due date, serious contractions kicked in shortly after midnight. My daughter was 3 weeks early and contractions started in while I was at work. It was a pretty hilarious day. My office mate took me to the hospital.
Can't wait to see your new little one!
Further to Laurie's post, anybody driven themselves? I have. Twice.
Omg that's hilarious.
I didn't drive, but I back seat drove since my husband went the wrong way twice on the way to the hospital. I ended up directing him from where I was lying in the back seat.
The second time, I walked for 30 blocks first, then took a cab, and told my husband NOT to drive into the city because he was too flustered. I had him take the train and then the subway.
I didnt drive myself, but I did teach my whole sunday school class before we went to the hospital
Molly, Morgan, Mia and Carson
Melissa - YES, that is exactly how I feel. Again, dumb dumb dumb because I'm only 37 weeks, but I'm just convinced that I'm going to go "eary" with this one since I went "early" with T.
Haha, that's hilarious about driving yourself, or backseat driving, or teaching a whole Sunday school class before!
So when we went to the hospital a couple of nights ago, DH had to stop by his school to drop something off for the sub. It's totally on the way, but I was still like "Seriously dude? I'm bleeding, I could be in labor, and you're going to make a pit stop at your school?!?" (total drama queen, I wasn't even having contractions....) And then I wasn't even in labor. Whoops!
I do think the HypnoBabies helped me. DH said I seemed the same as during Kostas' birth but I disagree. Marek's birth was fast and furious so the HB helped me stay more in control even though it didn't seem like it. Kostas' birth was longer and more manageable but I was less prepared since I didn't have HB.
I'm so excited for Rocket to be born!! Eee!
Mama to Kostas with the Mostest, born 07/10/07
and Marek "Cricket" Joshua, born 12/07/12
I, too, think it will be soon.....here's hoping!
I haven't driven myself TO the hospital, but with our 4th my dh had been admitted to the hospital with a Crohn's flare up. It was my due date. And his doc wouldn't let him leave until they did some more testing. I drove to the hospital and BEGGED and CRIED for them to let him go home bc I was having contractions. They wouldn't let him go. I called my MW and she thought I was probably just stressed out and that was causing the contrax. So I stayed with him for as long as I could....then left the hospital to have the baby at home. On the way out of the hospital I looked ridiculous: Alone. Obviously in labor. And going the "wrong" way. I drove myself home at 430p. Was home 10 minutes later. Baby was born at 530p. No hubby. No midwife. Thank goodness my mom and MIL were there taking care of the other three kidlets! Trey got home a few hours later...
DD 8.03, DD 6.05, DS 3.07, DD 5.09, and DS arrived 6.17.12
Audra, I still remember reading your birth story! Ben was also a May 09, and I was straddling 2 birth boards at the time. I was just so in awe of you
