OT - Getting to Know You QOTW 10/10

And I also spaced the GTKY question. I don't know where my head was last week!

What is one motto that you live by?

(Example: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.")

"For each of the three things you're thinking, say one."

The world is like a mirror, frown and it frowns back, smile and it smiles too.

Also John Lennon's quote: The more that I see, the less that I know for sure.

Quite lengthy, but it's stuck with me ever since I've discovered it:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” Marianne Williamson

To accomplish the impossible, you must see the invisible.

Be kind to & forgiving of everyone. You have no idea what battles they are fighting.

We're here for a good time, not a long time. So have a good time, the sun don't shine everyday.

"I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures."

Tao te Ching, chapter 67
Stephen Mitchell translation

And yes, I'm a bit short on my patience lessons. I do not suffer fools gladly. I can admit to that.

I love this Smile

I'm going to swallow my pride here and admit that I've never really considered what my "motto" is. I don't know if that makes me a slacker or what, lol. There are so many I like, but I've never really chosen just one to live by. I'll have to think about it and get back to you. Smile
