What are your plans for Thanksgiving? (If you're not in the US - any fun plans for the weekend? )

This was to be a free weekend and my last for the next 3 weeks, but I got talked into going to a baby shower an hour away and tomorrow is a tupperware party. DS is all chesty and I can't find his new puffer I bought about 3 weeks ago and put in a safe place for when we needed it next so I will be off to the chemist for another one of those too.
T-day - nada - I don't have to cook this year!!!!! It'll just be me, DH, and our youngest so we're going to celebrate by having a PJ day (well, for at least part of it).
Then next Sat we have a think at my dad's and then Sun we have a thing at the IL's. But they get to do all the cooking!!!
Yup, T-day, just the way I like it. Fully fed with a bottle of wine to myself

I'm running a race that morning than hosting DH's family. They will spend the whole day here, with some family spending the night as they live a few hours away. Probably eat around 5 and retire early in a food coma. Have plans with friends over the weekend, and hope to do a lot of christmas decorating as we are throwing a big party the following weekend. I'm already kicking myself for frontloading the Christmas season with two events so close together. I'm tired just thinking about it.
I have no idea! We've been invited to join my sisters but I really do not want to spend the time in the car to get there. We'd been casually invited a couple of weeks ago to dinner at a friend's house but there hasn't been any followup & I feel weird asking. We haven't heard anything from anyone on DH's side but as with my sisters, I don't think we want to make the trip. I have a feeling it's going to be a low-key at-home kind of day. Maybe we'll go see a movie? We've never done that on Thanksgiving.
The number of U.S. states in which a person can marry the person they love regardless of gender: 30 and counting!
On Wednesday night, the kids & I will get together with my neighbor and her daughter and go out for Chinese food, then come home and watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. Fun! For Thanksgiving itself, we are heading to my Dad & his husband's apartment in Manhattan. We'll bring some side dishes and I'll bake something. They will have some friends there plus for the first time they invited my in-laws too...that should be fun! It's very relaxed and casual there, but they set a beautiful table and everything is really nice, so I'm looking forward to it. I still haven't decided what to bake.

Baking Adventures In A Messy Kitchen (blog)
Just have three family members over. We keep it small and simple.
I plan on taking my rile, shooting a bear, and cooking it over an open pit fire. I like keeping with tradition. Anyone know where I can get a small pox lollipop?
Thanksgiving for us was in Oct.
We're heading out today to the Santa Claus parade in town. The kids are excited. Tomorrow is packing to go to the IL's for a few days. My BIL is home temporarily from over a year in Korea and we are very eager to see him.
On the 22nd, H is having a T-giving party at her school, and I'll be baking cute cupcakes for her to take. The parents are invited to be a part of it, but I haven't decided yet whether I will or not. I might want to spend that time cooking some side dishes/desserts ahead of time for the day after (see below).
On the 23rd, I'll be hosting Thanksgiving for my side of the family. I am so happy to be able to do it this year, as I didn't want my step mom to do it since she has had so much to deal with regarding my dad (who has Alzheimer's). So this year she gets to relax and enjoy it, I'm going to MAKE her sit down if she tries to help My brother will be helping, too, he called me last night from the grocery store to find out what he could buy to bring, lol.
On the 24th, one of DH's nieces is going to host it for his side of the family, so I'll also get to enjoy "being" hosted. I'm baking brownies to take to that one (a special request by my MIL ).
