We're going to celebrate my youngest's first b-day on Sunday. Nothing fancy just some family, the neighbors, hotdogs, cake and lots of kids running around.

The Memorial Tournament starts Monday so our neighborhood will be lousy with extra cars and people. It's all fun though.

Awwww, happy birthday to him!!!

I'm going to be busy this weekend. Tomorrow I am babysitting my cousin's 4 month old so she can go on a date with her hubby, but it's kind of an all day affair because she lives an hour and a half away, so that will be 3 hours driving just to get down and back. But we are the closest family that she has, and I don't believe that she has been out once without that baby since she was born, so it's time.

Sunday we are going to an arts festival with DH's family. Monday we are going up to a BBQ at DH's grandma's house. So nothing too exciting or fancy, but we will be busy.

We are going to be doing yard work I think.

BTW - Seeing how this is a get to know you thread. My name is Bonita. I have 3 little girls Alyssa (6), Brianna (4), and Caitlyn (20 months). So you know where I am coming from, I am a SAHM and an Evangelical Christian. I am passionately against abortion and my spelling is terrible. Looking forward to getting to know all of you.

We just had tons of rock delivered to our house-- literally-- and about 15 yards of mulch-- so we are going to landscape ALL weekend.

Dh and I have a date night on Sunday-- yahoo!

Our big girls are having a friend spend the night tonight....but other than than we'll be in the background shoveling rock. Lucky us! Hopefully the weather holds-- it has been so cool and rainy this spring and I'm over it!

My husband rented a dumpster so we can clean out the basement, any storage rooms, etc. Fun! Well, sorta...

And there's an awesome parade here on Monday. It's about a block from our house and we will take snacks & drinks & hang out and enjoy. 6 marching bands!

Well before my DS decided to get a mad stomach virus that has caused him to projectile vomit and leak out of every openning in his little body, we were heading to Disney. Now all I hope to be able to do is not have to sit up with him all night like last night. Thank G-d I think the worst is over.

It's only a holiday weekend in the states, so we're just doing regular weekend stuff here in Canadialand.

I have daycare clients coming for interviews tomorrow morning. The afternoon is my boy's baseball team pictures. The evening is my sister's b-day party. Should be fun!

Sunday will be spent at the ILs, like every Sunday. Monday is back to the grindstone!

Welcome to the board Bonita! I'm Emily...it's nice to meet you!

What holiday weekend?

We're battening down the hatches for the Supertyphoon which will arrive sometime Saturday night.

Ugh, I heard about Songda on BBC news and thought of you and a few of my other friends in China. Your family is in my prayers and I hope you all ride it out OK. As a Floridian I ahve had my share of Hurricanes so my heart goes out to you guys. Be careful!

Ours started today. We went to Jellystone Park after picking hubby up from a retired military funeral he participated in. We're going to a waterpark tomorrow and Sunday we're going to Jason's favorite place- Monkey Joes. Monday I'm hoping to talk Dh into barbecuing and we'll have to find a parade. We like to celebrate big on these holidays.

I'm about to head to my Mom's to lounge by the pool without any kids! The girls stayed the night with my inlaws and I'm going to enjoy a quiet morning getting some sun. This evening hubby and I are cleaning the house.....ugh. Not my favorite thing to do, lol.

Sunday is church and then the inlaws' house for lunch, like always. We may go to a friend's BBQ in the evening if Alana is feeling up to it. Her asthma has been a nightmare this week.

Monday I hope to start my garden for the year. It is only a small garden, but last year's wasn't too successful so I'm hoping for better this year. I think I'll let the girls play in the sprinkler while I work so they can enjoy the day outside too.

It's been a bad spring for asthma, IMO. I've had a hard time too. I hope Alana feels better soon.

Thank you. She tends to do worse in the winter because the cold is one of her triggers. This week the symptoms came out of the blue and not after an illness like they usually do. I curse asthma frequently, lol. I also curse Albuterol for turning her into a crazy nuthead!

Can I just add that our dumpster experiment is going beautifully! Dave has been at it since yesterday, cleaning out our garage, basement, and back deck. My neighbor even called to see if she can throw a few things in, we said sure. We are reclaiming space that we need, it's pretty exciting.
