What are your plans for the long weekend?

A whole lot of nothing! Blum 3 Tiven has soccer practice this afternoon, and that's it. I'm trying to talk myself into going shopping because I really need a new pair of shoes (I'm down to one pair plus my tennis shoes, yikes!) but I haven't even mustered enough interest in doing that.

We are going camping.

We've been re-doing a 1969 Airstream all.summer.long. As in nearly every weekend since June my dh has been in the trailer all weekend. We (I say "we" and it means he did it while I watched the kids....) completely gutted it and then re-built the inside. Double bunks for the kids, new benches, beds, kitchen table for us. New countertops, new floor....everything. This is our maiden voyage even though the re-do isn't totally complete (the plumbing isn't yet finished, so no shower, bath, toilet just yet.)

But the kids are super excited and so are we. We are headed to Estes Park for the weekend. We have reservations to go horseback riding and our big girls are thrilled bc they are old enough now to ride their own horse. Yeehaw! We'll spend the other days hiking around Rocky Mtn Natl Park.

We're just going to be cleaning and getting the house ready for school to start next week. On Monday we're hopefully going to take the two older kids to a Toronto Blue Jays baseball game, which will be fun!

It's not a long weekend here, but I have a very full weekend. I am about to take hubby to work and then have a work collegue coming around with her daughter to walk down to a town event (with free cake) and possibly meeting another work collegue there with her son. Then tonight depending on the weather going to a local school fete. Tomorrow is Father's day here so I will be up to make breakfast for hubby, then out to lunch and then swimming at a semi local waterhole.

Going to the cottage from Saturday-Monday! Looking forward to relaxing by a lake for a few days while my MIL chases around DS! Smile

Working Sat to Weds... Sad

At least the stat pay makes it worth it.

Last night my Mom and I took the girls to Alana's "Back to School Bash" at a local minor league baseball game. Everything was great except for the fact that I lost Madi about 5 minutes after getting there and had to get security involved to find her. Holy cow, panic attack!

Tonight my hubby is going to the Gator game, the girls are going to Disney on Ice with my Dad, and I'm going on a dinner date with a friend from work. I've had an EXTREMELY rough week at work and it will be nice to relax with a good friend.

Tomorrow is church and laundry.....the usual. I imagine I'll take a trip to the grocery store too.

Monday we're hoping to go to the pool if the weather cooperates. Rains almost every day now. I also have some paper work to complete before returning to work on Tuesday.

Last night we took the kids to meet their new cousin and I passed early out after getting no sleep at all the night before. This morning I got a hard workout in, we have friends and their kids coming over for dinner tonight. Every sunday AM we take the kids to breakfast then go to the gym with them. We are going to a labor day party that afternoon, and I am going to try to squeeze in a visit to my new niece after she gets home. Monday morning I have a 12 mile run with a friend, then we plan to spend the day at the pool as a family.

It's weird to be home on labor day weekend, we are always at the beach!

Last night we went to the IL's house for Friday Night Dinner. T "helped" with the cake after preschool, which is why the frosting was patched in several places. LOL

This morning I got up and went to Zumba, and this afternoon we will probably head back to the gym so hubby can get in his workout, while T and I hit the pool. After that....dunno. I'm thinking about drinking some wine *winks at Melissa*.

Tomorrow I will probably go to Zumba again. The Sunday class is the harder one (the instructor is a maniac, AND she does an hour and fifteen minute class, even though it's technically only slotted to go an hour.) That's really the only thing I have planned other than trying to get some cleaning in. My house is super cluttered at the moment which is making me itchy.

Monday we're going to DH's uncle's house for a big family BBQ. He lives in the mountains outside of Loveland on a really cool piece of land (they even have a big pond on their property that you can canoe around) and we always play bocce ball and croquet and frisbee and whatnot. This year they asked us to bring drinks, so I don't even have to cook anything for the potluck. :woohoo:

We aren't doing anything, just hanging out. I do need to mow the grass though. That's about as fun as we're getting this weekend, lol. Oh and 7 more posts until I get my crows Smile

Oh I get it now.

It's not a long weekend here, but we are going to see the World Cup Champion women's soccer team play an exhibition game. Very excited.
